According to one or more embodiments, a donor integrated access backhaul, IAB, node configured with a distributed unit, DU, for communicating with a wireless device and configured with a central unit, CU, for communicating with at least a first child IAB node is provided. The donor IAB node includes processing circuitry configured to indicate a determined first synchronization signaling blocks, SSB, transmission configuration, STC, for the at least first child IAB node, to the at least first child IAB node where the first STC is associated with inter-node measurement.

Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

Limited uplink bandwidth radio network devices are supported on wide bandwidth uplink carriers by configuring and controlling the use of multiple control regions within the uplink carrier bandwidth. In some embodiments, the total bandwidth of the uplink carrier is divided into a plurality of sub-band portions, wherein each sub-band portion includes at least one control region nominally dedicated to the transmission of uplink control signaling. Radio network devices are configured with a specified portion of the uplink carrier bandwidth for use for uplink transmission, which includes at least one control region. Radio network devices may be provisioned or provided with information regarding control regions reserved for control signaling by other radio network devices. The radio network devices may be dynamically configured to allow or suppress uplink data signaling in specified control regions, or portions thereof.

Embodiments herein disclose e.g. a method performed by a wireless device () for handling communication for the wireless device in a second wireless communication network. The second wireless communication network coexists with a first wireless communication network on a same bandwidth in frequency, wherein the first wireless communication network applies a first shift in frequency in uplink transmissions. The wireless device receives from a radio network node (), an indication indicating application of a second shift in frequency to uplink transmissions in case the second wireless communication network uses Frequency Division Duplex (FDD). The method comprises the network function generating system information and the network function broadcasting the system information. The system information comprises i) first power information for use by at least a first set of communication devices and a second set of communication devices in determining a transmit power, and ii) second power information for use by the first set of communication devices, but not the second set of communication devices, in determining the transmit power.

Random access channel (RACH) process for integrated access and backhaul (IAB) networks

To configure uplink sounding signal transmission in a wireless communication network, sets of configuration parameters for uplink sounding signal transmissions are determined for a given mobile terminal. Each of the sets of configuration parameters comprises a priority, a frequency-domain parameter and a time-domain parameter. The sets of configuration parameters are transmitted to the mobile terminal, thereby configuring the mobile terminal to generate different sounding signals and use the priorities to select from among the different sets of configuration parameters in the event of a sounding signal transmission collision.

Channel sounding using multiple sounding configurations

Mechanisms for efficient transmission of large amount of download data from a base station to a user equipment in a multi-carrier that minimizes power consumption on the user equipment are described. When multiple component carriers are to be used to transmit the download data, the base station informs the user equipment. The base station transmits on the anchor carriers without wait after informing the user equipment and transmits on the non-anchor carriers after waiting a predetermined delay. The predetermined delay provides time to allow the user equipment to activate the receiving resources and be ready to receive the download data over the non-anchor carriers. In this manner, the user equipment can be in a power conservation mode and activate the receiver resources only when needed.

Atmospheric channel-driven interference handling

Systems and methods are provided for allocation of acknowledgement resources. In an embodiment, a method of transmitting control information to a communication network may be implemented in a wireless device. The method may include being configured with at least two physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) opportunities, each of the at least two PUCCH opportunities identifying uplink resources to be used for transmitting control information to the communication network. The method may further include receiving an acknowledgement resource indication (ARI) indicating one of the configured at least two PUCCH opportunities to be used for transmitting control information associated with the DL transmission.

Allocation of acknowledgement resources

A method performed by a first base station for positioning in a cellular communication system includes receiving, at the first base station, a signal transmitted by a second base station and estimating a Time of Arrival (TOA) of the received signal at the first base station according to a clock of the first base station. The method further includes determining a delta value that is a function of an amount of time between the TOA of the received signal at the first base station and a time reference at the first base station and performing either, (a) providing the delta value to a positioning estimation entity within the cellular communications system or (b) using the delta value at the first base station to reduce a time synchronization error between the first base station and the second base station, or (c) passing the delta value to a User Equipment (UE).

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.

A user equipment is configured with at least two collections of uplink resources to be used for transmitting control information to a communication network. The UE receives an assignment of radio resources to be used for receiving a downlink transmission from a base station of the communication network. The UE receives an acknowledgement resource indication, ARI, indicating one of the configured collections of uplink resources to be used for transmitting control information associated with the DL transmission. Further, the UE transmits the control information to the base station on at least a subset of the indicated collection of UL resources. In example embodiments, the indicated collection of uplink resources comprises a plurality of selectable uplink resource sets. The control information is transmitted on one of the uplink resource sets which corresponds to an operational state of the communication network.
