An earpiece for a hearing device, includes: an earpiece housing comprising an ear canal portion and an outer ear portion, the ear canal portion extending along an ear canal axis for positioning in an ear canal of a user, the ear canal portion having a first end; a first microphone for detecting ambient sound via a first input port in the earpiece housing; a second microphone; and a receiver for providing an audio output signal to the ear canal when the earpiece is inserted in an ear of the user; wherein the first microphone is arranged at a first distance from the first input port, wherein the first distance is at least 2 mm when measured parallel to a main plane having a main plane normal parallel to a main axis, the main axis forming a first main angle that is less than 30 degrees with the ear canal axis.

An earpiece for a hearing device, includes: an earpiece housing comprising an ear canal part and an intermediate part, wherein the ear canal part extends along an ear canal axis of the earpiece, with an ear canal plane of the earpiece being perpendicular to the ear canal axis, the ear canal part having a first end, the intermediate part having a first end and a second end and extending along an intermediate axis; and a cable with a first end connected to the intermediate part, the cable exiting the intermediate part along a cable exit axis, the cable exit axis forming a first exit angle with respect to the ear canal plane, wherein the first exit angle is in a range from 5 to 45 degrees.

A hearing aid includes a hearing aid housing enclosing a microphone for converting sound into an audio signal, first feedback compensation means for providing a first feedback compensation signal of signals picked up by the microphone by modeling an internal mechanical feedback signal path of the hearing aid, second feedback compensation means for providing a second feedback compensation signal by modeling an external feedback signal path of the hearing aid, subtracting means for subtracting the first and second feedback compensation signals from the audio signal to form a compensated audio signal, processing means, connected to an output of the subtracting means, for processing the compensated audio signal, and a receiver, connected to an output of the processing means, for converting the processed compensated audio signal into a sound signal.
