A method of operating a wireless device in a wireless communication network. Feedback reporting for wireless communication

There is disclosed a method of operating a feedback radio node in a wireless communication network. The method includes transmitting acknowledgement signaling according to an acknowledgement codebook, the acknowledgement codebook representing acknowledgement information based on an acknowledgement association window. The disclosure also pertains to related devices and methods.

A control system is configured to control a transmission system (). The control system may be configured to, responsive to the occurrence of a condition for the transmission system () to exit a sleep state (S), trigger the transmission system () to transition from the sleep state (S) to an active state (A). The control system may be further configured to control the transmission system () to transmit during at least a fraction of a transition period (P) over which the transmission system () transitions from the sleep state (S) to the active state (A). Such control may for instance control the transmission system () to transmit, during the at least a fraction of the transition period (P), in compliance with relaxed component performance requirements that are relaxed with respect to the component performance requirements with which the transmission system () is configured to transmit during the active state (A).

There is provided provision of timing information of a first timing information source using timing information of a second timing information source to a wireless device. A network node determines that second timing information from the second timing information source is available and that timing information from the first timing information source is derivable from the second timing information. The network node instructs the wireless device to use the second timing information as a source for deriving first timing information of the first timing information source.

A method of controlling radio transmission in a wireless communication network is described, the method comprising a radio device () receiving an indication of a set of first signals () for associating the set of first signals () with a second signal. The method comprises the radio device () receiving at least one of the first signals (); and in response to the indication, the radio device () estimating at least one parameter of the second signal based on the at least one received first signal. The present disclosure relates to a method used in a User Equipment (UE) for reporting Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK)/non-acknowledgement (NACK) for Physical Downlink Shared Channels (PDSCHs) in dynamic time division duplex (TDD) configurations. In the method, a plurality of PDSCHs are received in DownLink (DL) subframes associated with an UpLink (UL) subframe and indicated by a DL reference TDD configuration. The DL subframes are divided into a first subset of DL subframes and a second subset of DL subframes. The first subset of DL subframes is also indicated by an UL reference TDD configuration. A first set of Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource indices are assigned based on resources used in transmission of Physical Downlink Control Channels (PDCCHs) corresponding to the PDSCHs received in the DL subframes of the first subset of DL subframes. A second set of PUCCH resource indices are assigned based on resources used in transmission of PDCCHs corresponding to the PDSCHs received in the DL subframes of the second subset of DL subframes. For each of the received PDSCHs, HARQ ACK/NACK is reported by using PUCCH resources in an order of the assigned first set of PUCCH resource indices for PDSCHs received in the DL subframes of the first subset of DL subframes and in an order of the assigned second set of PUCCH resource indices for PDSCHs received in the DL subframes of the second subset of DL subframes. The present disclosure also relates to a UE and BS for respectively reporting and receiving HARQ ACK/NACK for PDSCHs in TDD configuration.

The present disclosure provides a method () in a network device for uplink inter-cell interference estimation. The network device serves a cell divided into a plurality of sectors each corresponding to an angle range. The method () includes, for a first sector of the plurality of sectors: measuring () an uplink inter-cell interference level; and estimating () an uplink inter-cell interference metric based on the measured uplink inter-cell interference level.

Methods and devices for inter-cell interference estimation

Systems and methods are disclosed for estimating one or more channel properties of a downlink from a cellular communications network based on quasi co-located antenna ports with respect to the one or more channel properties. In one embodiment, a user equipment receives a downlink subframe including a downlink control channel from the cellular communications network. The user equipment estimates one or more large-scale channel properties for an antenna port of interest in the downlink control channel based on a subset of reference signals that correspond to antenna ports in the cellular communications network that are quasi co-located with the antenna port of interest with respect to the one or more large-scale channel properties. As a result of using the quasi co-located antenna ports, estimation of the one or more large-scale channel properties is substantially improved.

Systems and methods are disclosed for triggering a long range extension mode of operation for a wireless device in a cellular communications network. In one preferred embodiment, the wireless device is a Machine Type Communication (MTC) device. In one embodiment, a node in the cellular communications network determines that the wireless device is to operate in the long range extension mode if there is difficulty in establishing communication between the wireless device and the cellular communications network. If the wireless device is to operate in the long range extension mode, the node activates one or more long range extension mechanisms with respect to the wireless device such that the wireless device operates in the long range extension mode. In this manner, the long range extension mode is selectively triggered for the wireless device.
