The disintegration of a bullet in the body of a wild animal is determined by the power output of the bullet and therefore by the effect of the shot. A different type of disintegration is required for small as opposed to large animals. According to the invention, a disintegrating hunting bullet is provided in the form of an enveloped bullet, characterized in that the core () is made of balls () or granules made of a metal substance and the balls () or granules are pressed free from cavities in order to create set rupture points.

Disintegrating hunting bullet

The invention relates to a bullet for infantry ammunition comprising a bullet core (), a bullet tip (), and a metal case (). The aim of the invention is to create a durable connection between the bullet core () and the metal case (). To this end, the metal case () is a shell, which is open at the front and which is pulled onto the bullet core () from the rear. The bullet tip () projects away from the metal case (), and a constriction () is provided on the bullet core (). The case end () that is open at the front projects into this constriction.

Bullet for infantry ammunition

The invention relates to a propellant charge igniter comprising at least two series-connected combustion chambers separated from one another by choke disks, respectively one igniter mixture being housed in these chambers, these igniter mixtures differing from one another with respect to their combustion characteristics and thus exhibiting differing combustion behavior. The combustion chamber volumes are adapted to these igniter mixtures so that the mixture can burn up at the pressure level that is an optimum for the mixtures in each case.

Multiple-chamber propellant charge igniter

A short range trajectory round having an aerodynamic resistance which sharply increases at a predetermined time after discharge of the round from a barrel of a weapon. The round includes a body having a longitudinal axis and a forward tip portion and a rear base portion with at least one segment forming a part of the body and arranged for outward movement away from the longitudinal axis. The at least one segment at least partially delimits an inner cavity within the body terminating at a predetermined distance from the tip portion, and a plunger having a forward portion and a rearward portion is disposed within the cavity and arranged for movement in the longitudinal direction of the round between at least a rearward position and a forward position. the plunger is movable to the forward position in response to the firing of the round for form-lockingly engaging the at least one segment to prevent movement of the at least one segment away from the longitudinal axis of the round thereby to establish a first aerodynamic resistance for the round. The plunger is also movable toward the rearward position after discharge of the round from the barrel of the weapon for disengaging the at least one segment to enable outward movement of the at least one segment with respect to the longitudinal axis of the round and thereby establish at least a second aerodynamic resistance for the round which is greater than the first aerodynamic resistance.

Short trajectory round

An igniter unit for igniting of propellant charges comprises an igniter element operatively associated with a booster charge. The igniter element is arranged within an external housing and the booster charge is provided in an internal housing arranged within the external housing. The internal housing has a closed, lateral wall and a closed base at one end which withstands the ignition pressure generated upon ignition of the igniter element and the booster charge. The internal housing is provided with means for defining openings for causing the cloud of gas produced by ignition to flow from the booster charge and the igniter element to one end, that is the front end, of the internal housing to effect the ignition of the propellant charge.

A projectile, especially for hand and long firearms, including a projectile body having a longitudinal axis, a front face and a rear face, a deformation cavity extends partially into the projectile body at the front face thereof and a continuous axial bore is provided in the projectile body in communicating relationship with the rear face and the deformation cavity. The projectile body has a wall thickness in the region surrounding the deformation cavity which is smaller than the wall thickness in the region surrounding the axial bore. A cap is initially disposed in the region of the front face of the projectile body for covering at least the deformation cavity, the cap being separated from the projectile body within the barrel of the firearm during firing of the projectile and exiting from the barrel in front of the projectile body.
