The invention relates to an openable roof plate especially for vehicles which is joined in an articulated manner by one of its longitudinal edges to a roof frame which can be secured to the vehicle roof, and which is equipped with an opening and closing device engaging on its other longitudinal edge, a helical spring being used which is connected to a drive nut which can be set into rotation by an operating device in such a way that opening or closing of the roof plate can thereby be achieved.

In a process for fabricating an injection-molded tube sheet of thermoplastic material, for use in an apparatus for transferring heat and/or mass, with at least 25 through-holes for taking up tube ends, a melt is first distributed in the injection mold over the entire cross-sectional area before being pressed into the region of the mold where the tube sheet proper is formed. The injection mold has a needle disposed therein for each hole of the tube sheet being fabricated. After cooling, the portion of the thermoplastic melt without through holes, that is that overlaying the needles, is removed to produce the tube sheet.

An openable roof assembly, especially for a sun-roof of an automotive vehicle has a single hinge mounting the translucent panel along one longitudinal edge to the frame and a single closure element at the opposite longitudinal edge of the panel so that the closure element and the hinge are provided along the surface centerline of the panel. In this way, indifferent zones between hinges are avoided and a uniform distribution of the closing force to the panel can be ensured.

In an injection-molded tube sheet of thermoplastic material for apparatus for transferring heat and/or mass with at least 25 through-holes for taking up tube ends, the holes have a hydraulic diameter of at most 3 mm and the minimum web width between neighboring holes is at most 0.4 mm. The thickness of the tube sheet ranges from 3 to 10 mm. Such a tube sheet is particularly suitable for the compact arrangement of tube ends and is therefore used for producing apparatus for transferring heat and/or mass. It is fabricated by an injection-molding process in which the melt is first distributed in the injection mold over the cross-sectional area before being pressed into the region of the tube sheet proper.

A roof vent, sun roof or like system has a tiltable panel which is hingedly mounted in a frame around a roof opening of an automotive vehicle. The assmebly includes a rectilinear guide along which a slider is displaceable to straighten a bent spring bar connected to the panel and thereby allow the panel to be drawn into sealing closure with the frame.

The connection end of a light waveguide (LWG) is bonded to a holder for use in coupling the LWG to a plug connector. Two axially extending centering surfaces are provided which enable aligning the connection end of the LWG in a guide groove of the connector. Such centering surfaces are exposed axial zones of the glass sheath layer of the LWG, in which zones the outer primary coating of the LWG have been removed. Removal thereof is preferably effected by a cutting tool.

The invention relates to a plug connector for the ends of two light waveguides (LWG) which are connected to holders and are pressed in the guide groove of a guide element and are pressed against each other with their end faces by means of an elongate resilient element. In order to substantially avoid damage of the LWG in the coupling process and to ensure a constantly good and low-damping optical connection, the guiding devices are constructed so that at least one of the ends of the LWG (2) can first be moved with a free space over the guide groove over such a distance to the other LWG (1) that a small axial distance remains between the end faces of the LWGs (1, 2) that the LWG (2), while maintaining a small axial distance, is then pressed into the guide groove and that by further movement of the LWG (2) in the guide groove a resilient engagement of the end faces of the LWGs (1, 2) to be connected is then obtained (FIG. 1).
