Polyorganosiloxane mixtures are obtainable by reacting linear polysiloxanes containing Si&mdash;H-bonds with linear dihydroxypolysiloxanes and amino-functional silanes. The reaction is carried out in such a way that the resultant product mixture still contains Si&mdash;H&mdash; bonds and leads to crosslinked structures. The polysiloxane mixtures obtained are useful for hydrophobicizing fiber materials, especially nonwovens.

Polyorganosiloxane mixtures for treating fibre materials

The invention relates to the use of fabric softener compositions comprising: (a) as active substance, a quaternary ammonium compound of formula (1), in which R is the aliphatic radical of tallow fatty acid, in particular a mono- or polyunsaturated aliphatic C radical; and (b) is a nitrogen-free polydiorganosiloxane having terminal silicon-bonded hydroxyl groups; for the treatment of textile fibre materials. The fabric softener compositions impart a soft handle to the treated textile and are readily biodegradable. The fibre materials treated with the novel fabric softener compositions are very particularly characterized by good rewettability

Use of selected polydiorganosiloxanes in fabric softener compositions

Aqueous dispersions comprising as component A) a compound containing two or more blocked isocyanate groups in the molecule and as component B) a compound obtainable by reacting a diepoxy compound with a diamine or polyamine and subsequently reacting the resulting reaction product with an acid and possibly as component C) a dispersant are suited together with fluorine containing oligomers or polymers for the oil-, water- and soil-repellent finishing of fiber materials.
