The invention relates to a projectile having a cylindrical hole () arranged at the nose as seen in the firing direction, said hole () extending coaxially with the longitudinal axis () of the projectile and a projectile nose () being inserted into this hole, wherein the longitudinal axis () of the projectile at the same time also forms the longitudinal axis of the projectile nose (). In order that accelerated expansion of the projectile occurs when the projectile strikes a soft medium, it is proposed according to the invention that an open hollow channel () is introduced in the projectile nose () coaxially with the longitudinal axis (), said hollow channel () extending from the front end () to the rear end () of the projectile nose (), as seen in the firing direction, and a membrane () is arranged in the hollow channel (), said membrane dividing the hollow channel () into two hollow-channel portions ().

The invention relates to an actuator with a housing () in which a piston () with a pin () is inserted in a longitudinally displaceable manner, and with an igniting element () with contact pins (), wherein the contact pins () project out of the housing () on the connecting side () thereof, and, when the igniting element () is ignited by the propellants generated, the piston () is displaced in the direction of the actuating side () until the pin () projects out of the housing () on the actuating side (). For production to be more cost-effective, it is proposed that the housing () is designed as a single part and in the form of a cylinder, and the connecting side () is injection moulded or bonded around the end surface () of the housing () with a cylindrical cover () fitting thereover.

The decomposition of a projectile in a target body, particularly a hunting projectile in wild animals after penetration therein, determines the energy output of the projectile and thereby the effect of the shot. For projectiles with double cores, the properties of the ingredients used in the cores decisively affect the decomposition and particularly the deformation behavior of the cores. According to the invention, a partial decomposition projectile comprising two cores is provided with one solid core () made of a material suited to said projectile and the other core () is divided up into two areas (), whereby one area () is made of ball-shaped elements made of a metal material granulate () and the second area () is made of a metal or ceramic powder and the ball-shaped elements or granulates () are pressed to become free of shrink holes, in order to improve decomposition behavior control.

The decomposition of a projectile in a target body, particularly a hunting projectile in wild animals after penetration therein, determines the energy output of the projectile and thereby the effect of the shot. For projectiles with double cores, the properties of the ingredients used in the cores decisively affect the decomposition and particularly the deformation behavior of the cores. According to the invention, a partial decomposition projectile comprising two cores is provided with one solid core () made of a material suited to said projectile and the second core () is made of a powder () consisting of metal or ceramic ingredients, said powder being pressed to become free of shrink holes, in order to improve decomposition behavior control.

A penetrator can substantially affect the fragmentation properties of a projectile. As a rule, the penetrator is enclosed by an envelope which combines the projectile core and penetrator in one unit. On hitting the target, a fragmentation of the projectile envelope must first occur which needs energy, influencing the further fragmentation of the projectile and the exit from the target. The invention thus relates to a hard-core projectile (), with the penetrator () provided in a cylindrical drilling (), in the projectile core (), running centrally on the projectile axis (), the length of the penetrator () extending over the middle () of the projectile, the core () enclosing the penetrator () in the ogival region () to the open tip () and the cylindrical part () of the core (), serving as guide in operation, is enclosed by an envelope ().

The invention relates to a ball cartridge () for a shotgun with an intermediate means () which can be built into a cartridge (). The bullet () has a cylindrical free area () on the lower side thereof and the intermediate means () is embodied as a piston () on the end thereof facing the bullet () and the diameter thereof is adapted to the free area (). In order to provide a solid link between the bullet () and the intermediate means (), the bullet () is placed on the piston () or vice-versa and is pushed into the free area () and wedged during the piston () shot.

The aim of the invention is to gas-tightly join a jacket to a core of a hard core jacketed bullet comprising an illuminant composition in the area of the hole of the bore in the core to accommodate the illuminant composition. Said aim is achieved by pressing the material () of the bottom () of the jacket (), which is displaced when the hole () is formed, against the wall of the hole by means of a reshaping process in the area of the hole ().

The disintegration of a bullet in the body of a wild animal is determined by the power output of the bullet and therefore by the effect of the shot. A different type of disintegration is required for small as opposed to large animals. According to the invention, a disintegrating hunting bullet is provided in the form of an enveloped bullet, characterized in that the core () is made of balls () or granules made of a metal substance and the balls () or granules are pressed free from cavities in order to create set rupture points.

When intervention ammunitions are fired in shooting ranges, subsequently there occur high levels of released energy, stop butt damage, at the target. Therefore the invention provides a complete destruction shell, in the form of an encased shell, characterized in that the core () of the shell consists of balls () or metal granular materials, and the balls () or granular materials are compressed without forming inclusions.

The invention relates to a bullet for infantry ammunition comprising a bullet core (), a bullet tip (), and a metal case (). The aim of the invention is to create a durable connection between the bullet core () and the metal case (). To this end, the metal case () is a shell, which is open at the front and which is pulled onto the bullet core () from the rear. The bullet tip () projects away from the metal case (), and a constriction () is provided on the bullet core (). The case end () that is open at the front projects into this constriction.

According to known techniques for winding an ammunition shell the number of thread layers is often reinforced as compared to the remaining part of the shell wall, especially in those zones of the shell where the load is the highest, thereby, however, inevitably increasing the thickness of the shell wall. If the space for the propelling charge in the wound shell is to be enlarged while the outer geometry of the wound shell remains the same, that is with the same space provided in the weapon for the charge, the wall thickness has to be reduced. In order to provide the shell with the same mechanical stability, despite the reduction in wall thickness, as shells whose wall thickness is not reduced, the wound body of the shell () is produced from chemical fibers (), preferably from synthetic and inorganic chemical fibers.

Currently, 9 mm&#xd7;19 mm caliber cartridges in the form of full-jacketed round-head bullets are used for small arms, especially for arms used by police. For safety reasons, efforts are being made to replace these bullets with a type of bullet that is prevented from passing straight through the target medium. Known deformable bullets from the prior art vary considerably in terms of the energy that they release in the target medium of density (), especially in the human body. The invention therefore provides that the bullet () consists of a jacketless bullet body (), that a cavity () extends centrally in relation to the longitudinal axis () of the bullet () in the tapered front part () of the bullet body (), said cavity consisting of a cylindrical part () and at least one conical part () adjoining said cylindrical part; that a pusher () which forces the projectile open forms the bullet tip and that said pusher consists of a head () which seals the opening () of the cavity () and a shaft () which extends into the cavity ().
