Rock anchor

Attachment element

A substantially cylindrical washer having two arch-shaped channels , on a face on the bore hole side of the washer, wherein said channels connect an opening with a through passage The opening is configured for the passage of an anchor rod and the through passage is configured for filling a mortar mass into the bore hole. The channels open relative to the bore hole and include a substantially semi-circular cross-section to assure the high tensile strength of the washer.

Anchor rod for an attachment anchor

A member (1) for insertion into a borehole (9) in a receiving material (10) has an axially extending generally cylindrical hollow body (2) closed at its leading end (4) and open at its trailing end (5) and into which a mortar mass and anchor member can be inserted. The hollow body (2) has a sieve-like mesh wall. At least one circumferentially extending strip (8) of a compressible elastic open pore material is secured on the outside surface of the hollow body (2) for cleaning the surface of the borehole while the member is inserted into the borehole.

Member for insertion into a borehole in a receiving material

In a method of fastening an attachment member (1) in a prefabricated borehole (2) in a wooden component (B), the inside surface of the borehole is provided with a profiled surface (2a) by a threadformer (4) which compacts the inside surface of the borehole (2). The borehole (2) is filled with a hardenable mass before the attachment member is inserted into the borehole.

The retention value of a screw previously inserted into a wooden railroad tie is increased by an axially extending sleeve ( 20 ) having an external thread ( 24 ) and an internal thread (25). The thread revolutions of the internal thread (25) are offset axially by half (h) the thread pitch (H) of the external thread (24). Due to this offset of the threads, the screw is positioned in the sleeve so that its threads are located between the external thread revolutions affording a new retention, while the external thread (24) seats within the thread previously formed in the wooden railroad tie by the screw.

Attachment elements to be fixed to panel-shaped structural components by a hardenable material include an axially elongated dowel sleeve (1) forming a passageway extending from a second end toward a first end. An axially extending annular part (2) encircles the dowel sleeve. A bag-like member (3) is secured to the annular part and to the dowel sleeve adjacent the first ends thereof. The bag-like member is inserted through a borehole in the structural component from an outer side thereof. The bag-like member can be filled with a hardenable material providing a gripping action with an inner side of the structural component. The bag-like member, when filled with the hardenable material, has a first side facing the inner side of the structural component and an oppositely facing second side with openings in the first side being larger than the openings in the second side. As a result, when hardenable material is injected into the bag-like member, it flows out through the openings in the first side and supports the bag-like member with large area contact with the inner side of the structural component.

Attachment member anchored by hardenable mass to panel-shaped structural

An anchor member to be fixed in a borehole by a permanently hardenable mass is formed as a sleeve-like member with the outside surface deformed inwardly at axially and circumferentially spaced areas so that the inside surface is deformed into a multi-sided cross-section. The inside surface can be four-sided with the inwardly deformed areas increasing the anchoring effect and preventing turning of the member when a fastening element is threaded into its trailing end. The sleeve-like member is closed at its leading end to avoid the hardenable mass from flowing into the member.
