Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for receiving, from one of two or more sensors of a device that independently determine whether an aircraft takeoff has likely occurred, an indication that the aircraft takeoff has likely occurred; activating, based on receiving the indication that the aircraft takeoff has likely occurred, an airplane mode of the device; receiving, while the device is in the airplane mode and from one of two or more other sensors of the device that independently determine that an aircraft flight is likely not occurring, an indication that the aircraft flight is likely not occurring; and deactivating, based on receiving the indication that the aircraft flight is likely not occurring, the airplane mode of the device. The indication that the aircraft takeoff has likely occurred may include acceleration data indicating an acceleration of the device in three dimensions.

Enabling and disabling wireless communication in electronic devices

The technology enables locating asset tracking tags based on a ramped sequence of signals from one or more beacon tracking tags. The sequence includes at least one minimum power signal and at least one maximum power signal. Each signal in the sequence has a tag identifier and an initial signal strength value. Each beacon signal in the ramped sequence is associated with the time at which that beacon signal was received by a reader. Each beacon signal is also associated with a received signal strength at reception. A location of the beacon tracking tag is estimated according to the signals in the sequence based on the difference between the initial and received signal strengths. A position of the reader device is identified based on the beacon tag's location. An asset tracking tag location is identified based on the reader's location and packets received by the reader from the asset tag.

Power ramping of beacon signals to enhance location accuracy

Multi-level data center using consolidated power control is disclosed. One or more controllers communicate with one or more power supplies and sensors to adapt to dynamic load requirements and to distribute DC-power efficiently across multiple IT racks. The distributed DC-power includes one or more DC-voltages. Batteries can be temporarily switched into a power supply circuit to supplement the power supply during spikes in power load demand while a controller reconfigures power supplies to meet the new demand. One or more DC-to-AC converters handle legacy power loads. The DC-to-AC converters are modular and are paralleled for redundancy. The DC-to-AC converters are sourced from the one or more AC-to-DC converters. The AC power is synchronized for correct power flow control. The one or more controllers communicate with the one or more AC-power supplies to dynamically allocate AC-power from the DC-to-AC converters to the multiple legacy IT racks.

Multi-level data center using consolidated power control

Disclosed are systems and methods to provide energy control via power-requirement analysis and power-source enablement. Both demand-side and supply-side techniques are used alone or in conjunction to determine an optimal number of power sources to supply power to one or more loads. When fluctuations in power requirements are present, measures such as decoupling less-critical loads in order to continue delivering power to critical systems and turning on and off power sources as needed to meet the current power demands of a system are implemented. Power sources are periodically deactivated by the system on a rotational basis such that all power sources wear evenly, prolonging the life of the equipment. A scalable architecture that allows the virtualization of power from the underlying hardware form factor is also provided.

Inputs may be automatically generated automatically and/or user provided. In one embodiment, a method includes: accessing a term tensor associated with at least one term in a corpus of documents, wherein the term tensor comprises a plurality of data type vectors corresponding respectively to a plurality of term-correlated data types correlated with the at least one term in the corpus and each data type vector comprising a plurality of binned data type values with corresponding weighted occurrence values derived from the corpus; providing at least one of the plurality of term-correlated data types for selectable display; receiving at least one term-correlated data type selection; and providing data type values associated with the at least one term-correlated data type selection for display.
