The invention relates to an articulated arm transport device which is especially provided for the automation of large component transfer presses. Said articulated arm transport device is characterized by a kinematics and design that do not require any additional clearance between the press rams and pillars and that permit an introduction or extraction of workpieces even with a small clearance between the upper and lower tool. The articulated arm transport device is mounted above the workpiece transport plane on the press stands. The articulated arm part linked with the cross-member is shorter than the articulated arm part and makes a pivoting movement substantially above the common pivot. A lifting and/or pivoting movement can be carried out by means of controlled lift drives that are functionally linked with transmission means.

Articulated arm transport device

A transfer system provided, in particular, for multi-stage presses for large components is distinguished by a favorable design with a low moving mass and allows large transporting steps. By the regulation of 2 stationary drives both in the direction of rotation in relation to one another and in the rotational speed, it is possible to realize all desired traveling curves in one plane. A straightforward construction makes possible a cost-effective, modular solution for a highly dynamic transfer system.

Horizontal transporting system

The invention proposes a transporting apparatus for transporting single or double workpieces through processing stations of presses, in which apparatus up to 9 degrees of freedom are integrated in the transporting system. Necessary changes in position for, for example, feeding into dies can take place directly by way of the transporting apparatus. It is possible to dispense with intermediate set-down locations or orienting stations.

An exchanging device is proposed for the parts-specific accessories and especially for the suction crossarm in a press, press line, multiple-die press for large parts or the like in order to make possible a good accessability of the press area, the exchanging device in the parked position is below the passable covering.

Tool-exchanging device for presses

A transport system provided in particular for large-component transfer presses is distinguished by a design with a low width and, nevertheless, permits large transport steps. By controlling two drives in the direction of rotation in relation to each other, all desired travel curves in one plane can be realized. As a result of the simple construction, a cost-effective solution is achieved for a highly dynamic transport system.

An articulated-arm transport system, provided in particular for the automation of press lines and large-component transfer presses, is distinguished by a design which permits components or workpieces to be inserted or removed even when there is a small clearance between an upper and lower tool.

Articulated arm transport system

The invention relates to a hydromechanical drive system for at least one press ram of a cutting and/or forming press, at least one drive cylinder being connected to a following kinematic chain. This kinematic chain is designed in such a way that a complete ram stroke, i.e. a downward motion and an upward motion, is effected during a single piston stroke in only one direction. In addition, the proposed drive system has mechanical controlled synchronization.

Hydromechanical press drive

A transfer drive is proposed for a press and in particular for a forging machine, in which the intention is to dispense with guides which are sensitive to dirt. For this purpose, the gripper rails are suspended on a hinged-rod arrangement with a three-axis guide system.

Apparatus for the transport of parts in a multiple-die press

A transport system for transporting workpieces through machining stations of a press device. The transport system includes at least one independent transport device dedicated to each machining station, the transport device being effective for receiving and transporting a workpiece in at least one of a 2-axial and a 3-axial transport motion. The transport system includes a longitudinal transport device for effecting a horizontal longitudinal motion of the workpiece in a transport direction of the workpiece and having a horizontally extending extension arm for transporting the workpiece between machining stations. The extension arm includes guides, and a transport slide for transporting the workpiece in the transport direction. The transport slide is disposed on the guides for being longitudinally movable thereon and has coupling device thereon for coupling one of a suction beam and a gripper arrangement to the extension arm for effecting a reception of the workpiece by the longitudinal transport device. The transport system further includes: a lifting mechanism operatively connected to the longitudinal transport device for effecting a vertical motion of the workpiece; and a closing-opening mechanism operatively connected to the longitudinal transport device and the lifting mechanism for effecting a transverse motion of the workpiece with respect to the transport direction thereof.

A transport device for transporting workpieces through machining stations, especially of a multiple-die press, is proposed, in which the supporting or gripper rails can perform a 2-axial and/or 3-axial motion in the longitudinal direction of the press, in the vertical direction and in the transverse direction relative to the longitudinal direction of the press. For the performance of the lifting motion and of the transversely directed closing/opening motion of the supporting or gripper rails, a separate transport unit is provided, which supports the supporting or gripper rails using a transversely displaceable lifting column.

Transport device for workpieces in a press

A station for aligning a stack or packet of sheet metal or plate bars to be transported to and unstacked at an unstacking station prior to being pressed or processed at a pressing or processing station. The alignment station includes a transporting carriage equipped with a chain conveyor system and a lifting and turning device as well as a stationary measuring system. The measuring system serves to detect the angular position of the sheet metal packet disposed on the transporting carriage and is composed of a rotatably mounted measuring ruler which is placed against the sheet metal packet by means of a pneumatic cylinder. The angular position is measured by way of an absolute value sensor installed at the pivot point of the measuring ruler and is compared with the desired value stored in a control system.

A multi-stage press includes support columns; a press stage including tools for deforming a workpiece; an empty stage adjoining the press stage in a direction of a length dimension of the multi-stage press and being situated in a zone of the support columns; a gripper rail being formed of a first gripper rail lenth portion situated in the press stage and a second gripper rail length portion situated in the empty stage; a plurality of workpiece gripper assemblies mounted on the gripper rail; and a tool table normally situated in the press stage and being removable therefrom in a direction transversely to the press length. The workpiece gripper assemblies are independently shiftable relative to one another along the gripper rail and the gripper rail assemblies normally supported on the second gripper rail length portion are shiftable onto the first gripper rail length portion. The gripper rail assemblies have a normal operating position in which the gripper rail assemblies are situated on the first and second gripper rail length portions in a mutually spaced relationship with respect to one another and they have a replacement position in which they are situated solely on the first gripper rail length portion in a mutually contacting relationship with respect to one another.

Shiftable workpiece gripper for a multi-stage press

A releasable coupling for connecting a first and a second component to one another, includes a first sleeve-like hollow member affixed to an end of the first component and a second sleeve-like hollow member affixed to an end of the second component, an expander mandrel supported in the first hollow member and arranged for an axial motion with respect to the first hollow member to assume an advanced position in which it projects into the second hollow member to be surrounded simultaneously by the first and second hollow members. The expander mandrel includes an expander element and pressing elements operatively connected to the expander element for displacement generally radially outwardly by the expander element into an expanded position for a simultaneous engagement with the first and second hollow elements thereby clamping the first and second components to one another. There is further provided a power device for axially displacing the expander mandrel as a whole and for displacing the expander element relative to the pressing elements. Each pressing element has a toothed outer face and each hollow member has a toothed inner face. In the advanced position of the expander mandrel and in the expanded position of the pressing elements each toothed outer face is in a meshing engagement with both toothed inner faces.
