In a spinning machine with at least one spinning station possessing a feed drum, driven by a single drive, a disintegrator, a rotor, a withdrawal roll and a spool roll, provisions have been made that the spinning station has an additional single drive respectively for the withdrawal roll and/or the spool roll and/or a paraffin roll. The speed of rotation ratio of the single drives can be preset to specified values.

Bearing composition for a open-end spin rotor

The present invention relates to a bearing for an open-end spinning rotor. The latter is driven at its rotor shaft by means of a tangential belt in a predetermined direction and is supported in a nip which is formed by at least two bearing disks capable of being driven by the rotor shaft. A bearing disk (at least one) leads in relation to the drive direction of the tangential belt rotating into the nip, and another bearing disk (at least one) trails in relation to the drive direction of the tangential belt rotating out of the nip. The axis of the bearing disk (at least one) rotating into the nip is at a specified distance from the plane which goes through the rotor shafts of the spinning rotors of several adjoining open-end spinning devices. This distance is being smaller than the distance between the axis of the bearing disk (at least one) rotating out of the nip and the rotor shaft plane. A plane going through the axes of the bearing disks forms an acute angle between 5&deg; and 15&deg; with the plane going through the axes of the spinning rotors.

For a bearing arrangement of an open-end spin rotor, which is rotatably set in the &ldquo;V&rdquo; between circumferential rims of support disks, one or more of the support disks (,), which bear the open-end spin rotor, has a circumferential cleaning groove (,). The cleaning groove (,) can be a self closing, endless groove, which runs over the contact surface of the support disk (,), wherein it generally does not run parallel to the edges of the support disk (,). Such a meandering groove formulation of the support disk circumference assures that no deposits of impurities can accumulate on the rotor shaft.

The present invention relates to a device for the conveying of fibers from an opener roller (31) installed in a fixed opener roller housing (30) to the collection surface (43) of a spinning rotor (4) of an open-end spinning device (1). It is provided with a rotor lid mounted on a swivel pin which receives a fiber feeding channel (6). The fiber feeding channel (6) can be brought into contact with a first contact surface (62) surrounding its inlet opening (60) against a second contact surface (35) located on the opener roller housing. It extends until directly in front of the collection surface of the spinning rotor (4). A lid extension extends through an opening in the spinning rotor (4) into the spinning rotor. In the lid extension the fiber feeding channel (6) lets out into the spinning rotor (4). The contact surfaces are essentially tangential to the circumferential surface of the opener roller and parallel to the opening of the spinning rotor or are inclined towards the opening of the spinning rotor.

For an aerostatic bearing (6) of an open-end spinning rotor, in which the bearing material consists of a wearable material, a wear indicator (9) is provided on the bearing plate (601) of the axial bearing (6) so that the state of wear of the axial bearing (6) can be checked by simple optical inspection. The wear indicator (9) can be integrated into the running surface (610) and be made e.g. in the form of a blind bore (91), so that the presence of the bore indicates that the wear lies still within the admissible limits.

An aerostatic axial bearing (6) of an open-end spinning machine in which the bearing plate (601) of the axial bearing (6) is made of a permeable material, has a bearing plate (601) provided with one or several air channels (605), the task of which is to convey the air closer to the bearing gap (630) before it goes through the permeable bearing plate material. Thereby, the utilization of an additional choke can be avoided. Furthermore the mechanical properties of the holder bearing plate (601) are improved.

An open-end spinning device with a spinning rotor is supported by a shaft in a bearing arrangement. An axially rearwardly directed force is exerted on the rotor shaft in operation of the spinning device. The end of the rotor shaft bears against an aerostatic bearing which includes a bearing surface oppositely facing the end of the rotor shaft made of a carbon material. The rotor shaft has a bearing surface defined on the end thereof opposite the aerostatic bearing which is made at least in part of a carbide material.

Bearing arrangement for an open-end spinning device

An open-end spinning device has a spinning rotor with a rotor pot defining a fiber collection groove therein. A rotor shaft is provided having a diameter between 5.5 mm and 9 mm. Pairs of rotatable supporting rings supported on axles define a nip therebetween. The rotor shaft is rotatably supported in the nip. The supporting rings have a diameter between 62 mm and 82 mm. A thrust imparting device imparts an axial thrust to the rotor shaft in the direction opposite the rotor pot. A non-contacting axial bearing is disposed opposite the free end of the rotor shaft for absorbing the axial thrust without contacting the rotor shaft. The axial thrust imparting device generates an axial thrust between 1N and 7N on the rotor shaft. A driving device contacts the rotor shaft for rotatably driving the rotor and has a contact pressure with the rotor shaft from between 8N and 39N.

An opener device in an open-end spinning machine includes an opener roller driven by a drive disk and a drive belt. A tension roller is movable between a first position wherein it exerts a driving tension force on the drive belt, and a second position wherein the tension roller exerts a lesser tension on the drive belt so that the drive belt can be removed from the device. A braking device includes a movable actuating element and a braking belt contacting member, such as a bolt, associated with the actuating element so as to be moved thereby. The actuating element and braking belt contacting member are movable between a first position wherein the braking belt contacting member is at a distance from the drive belt and a second position wherein the braking belt contacting member comes into the contact with the drive belt forcing the belt away from the drive disk.

The spinning rotor of an open-end spinning device is supported by means of a rotor shaft in the nip of at least one pair of supporting disks and can be driven by means of a tangential belt. A change-over device with a pressure roller is provided to press the tangential belt against the rotor shaft and a rotor brake which can be brought into action alternatively is provided. The change-over device is connected to a control lever which can be controlled as a function of the position of an actuator connected to a spinning station cover. The control lever is provided with an actuating arm. By opening the spinning station cover completely, a sufficient clearance can be produced between the actuator and the control lever so that the rotor brake can be deactivated through action exerted on the actuating arm of the control lever by means of the change-over lever on the one hand without allowing on the other hand the pressure roller to be yet actuated. The control lever can be made in several segments, with a first lever segment being connected to the change-over device and interacting with the actuator of the spinning station cover, while a second lever segment is provided with the actuating arm and interacts with the first lever segment.

To attach spinning rotors to their rotor shaft, the rotor shaft is provided with a stop against which the collar for the seating of the spinning rotor bears. The stop can be made in one piece with the rotor shaft, and be in the form of a micro-stop against which the collar bears in an axial direction.
