A post driver for installing a post includes a post receiver. The post receiver has a post receiver body defining a post receiving space with an open end and an opposite closed end. The post receiving space is sized and shaped to receive an upper end portion of the post. The post receiver body has an outer surface. The post receiver includes a post receiver cover connected to the post receiver body and at least partially covering the outer surface of the post receiver body. A first handle is connected to the post receiver and a second handle is connected to the post receiver.

Post driver

A post driver and remover for the installation and removal of posts includes a post receiver having a post receiver body having a driving end and an opposite driven end. The post receiver body defines a post receiving space having an open end adjacent the driven end and a closed end adjacent the driving end. The post receiving space is sized and shaped to receive an upper end portion of one of the posts. The post receiver body also has a first extractor and a second extractor. The first extractor receives a first post of a first cross-sectional size or shape, and the second extractor has a different size or shape from the first extractor to receive a second post of a second cross-sectional size or shape.

Post driver and remover

A pulsatile fluid pump system includes a pump-valving assembly including a chamber and a diaphragm assembly coupled to the chamber and including a flexible diaphragm. The diaphragm assembly and the pump-valving assembly are configured as an integral pump assembly. The system further includes a linear motor having a magnet and a coil, the magnet moving in relation to the coil, the coil having an electrical input. The system also includes a control housing rigidly coupled to the linear motor and a controller system having an electrical output coupled to the electrical input of the coil, the controller system defining an electrical waveform at the electrical output to cause desired operation of the diaphragm. The integral pump assembly is configured to be removably coupled to the control housing, and the diaphragm assembly of the integral pump assembly is configured to be removably coupled to the linear motor.

Pulsatile fluid pump system

A firearm bore cleaner for cleaning a bore of a firearm includes a cleaning segment and a pulling segment. The cleaning segment cleans the bore of the firearm when the cleaning segment is moved along the bore. The cleaning segment includes a tail end connector adjacent a tail end portion. The pulling segment is sized and shaped to be inserted into the bore. The pulling segment includes a head end connector adjacent the head end portion of the pulling segment. A tail end portion of the pulling segment is connected to a head end portion of the cleaning segment. The head end connector of the pulling segment and the tail end connector of the cleaning segment can be releasably connect to each other to couple the head end portion of the pulling segment and the tail end portion of the cleaning segment together in order to form a closed loop.

Firearm bore cleaner

A method of grinding large sample quantities using a bead beater homogenizer includes steps of loading a sample material into a vial having a size of 500 ml or greater having a chamber enclosed by two end walls and a cylindrical sidewall defining a central vial axis, loading a plurality of balls into the vial with the sample material, securing the vial to a movable platform of the homogenizer, and oscillating the platform in a back-and-forth motion isolated to a movement axis, thereby causing the balls to move in a circular motion along the cylindrical sidewall, wherein the central vial axis is perpendicular to the movement axis. A system of a cylindrical vial and a bead beater homogenizer is also provided.

Homogenizer and method of grinding large sample quantities

Techniques are disclosed for advantageously forecasting an inventory of a product having a particular duration (e.g., video content). The technique can include determining the particular configuration (e.g., maximum number of impressions, maximum amount of time permitted) of breaks identified within an impression log. Based on the number of breaks and the configurations of the breaks, the technique can forecast a future inventory of the product. In some implementations, the disclosed technique can identify an amount of a previous break that was not filled with video content. These forecasts can enable product sellers to better communicate with their customers, negotiate supply contracts, price their products, plan for business operations, etc.

Break-based inventory forecasting

An ion exchange system includes an ion exchange column filled with ion exchange media and a passive cooling system. The passive cooling system includes a working fluid that transfers heat away from the ion exchange column. In one embodiment, the working fluid is in a closed system. In another embodiment, the passive cooling system includes a heat pipe. In yet another embodiment, the ion exchange system is used to separate radionuclides, such as Cs-137 from a liquid waste stream.

Passively cooled ion exchange column

A remote actuator includes one or more bi-stable strips with at least one shape memory composite (SMC) spring connected to each bi-stable strip. The SMC spring includes a thermoplastic and an electrical and/or thermal conductor for transforming the length of the SMC spring upon heating. The contraction of the SMC spring transforms the bi-stable strip from its coiled stable state to its elongated stable state. The displacement of the SMC spring can be amplified by a simple machine included in the remote actuator. The remote actuator can include a shape memory alloy (SMA) strip for transforming the bi-stable strip from its elongated stable state to it curved stable state upon heating. Heating can be by Joule heating or from an adjacent heat source.

A bead beater homogenizer includes a shaft having a main body extending along a main axis and a distal connection body extending along a connection axis that is acutely angled with respect to the main axis, a motor configured to rotate the shaft about the main axis, a head rotatably connected to the distal connection body of the shaft, and a clamp secured to the head and configured to secure a sample vial holder configured to hold one or more sample vials therein, wherein rotational motion of the shaft about the main axis is translated into motion of the head in directions normal to the main axis. A sample vial holder having an internal network of channels defined within the housing through which a coolant can be passed to control a temperature of a vial disposed therein is also provided.

Sample grinder

A pulsatile fluid pump system for driving a fluid pump assembly includes a reciprocating linear motor having a magnet and a coil, the magnet moving in relation to the coil, the coil having an electrical input. The pulsatile fluid pump system further includes a controller system having an electrical output coupled to the electrical input of the coil, and the controller system is configured to execute a waveform program defining an electrical waveform at the electrical output. The waveform program is configured to control operation of the linear motor by modification of a feature, selected from the group consisting of amplitude, frequency, shape, and combinations thereof, of the electrical waveform at the electrical output. The waveform program is further configured to accept a set of user-specifiable parameters defining the performance of the linear motor and to modify the electrical waveform in response to such parameters.

System for driving a pulsatile fluid pump

A system and method for temporal feasibility analyses that links a service requirement to a source capable of providing a service. In embodiments, the service requirement is received from a requestor, wherein the service requirement defines a type of service, location, and a request to provide the service within a predetermined time period. A repository of sources is analyzed to determine qualified sources that provide service to a region that includes the service location and have a response status greater than a predefined threshold, where the response status indicates a probability of the source being available to provide the service within the time period. A request is sent to each qualified source to provide the service, and responses are then received from at least one of the qualified sources in response to sending the request.

System and method for temporal feasibility analyses

A system for operating an automatically movable panel that forms a portion of an exterior of a vehicle, and provides access to an interior of the vehicle; a motivator connected to the panel and moving the panel through a range of motion; a proximity sensor; and a control module disposed within the motor vehicle, the control module having a processor configured to execute control logic, the motivator and the proximity sensor in electronic communication with the control module. The control logic including: determining a position of the panel; receiving a plurality of passive inputs; selectively utilizing the motivator to move the panel through the range of motion based on the passive inputs; utilizing the proximity sensor to selectively determine when to initiate movement of the movable panel through the range of motion with the motivator; and informing a motor vehicle occupant of movement of the panel via a human-machine interface.

A body can be configured to be selectively morphable. The body can be at least partially hollow. The body can include a surface. A shape memory material member, such as a shape memory alloy wire, can extend along the surface. The shape memory material member can include a first region, a second region, and a central region located between the first region and the second region. The first and second regions of the shape memory material member can be constrained on the surface, such as by stitches. The central region of the shape memory material member can be unconstrained on the surface. When activated, the shape memory material member can contact, causing the body to bend in the central region due being constrained in the first and second regions. Thus, the body can be morphed into an activated configuration.
