Embodiments include methods, systems, and computer program products method for aerial vehicle in-flight servicing. The computer-implemented method includes monitoring, using a processor, an aerial vehicle status of a delivery aerial vehicle. The processor compares the aerial vehicle status of the aerial vehicle to a delivery schedule associated with the delivery aerial vehicle. The processor further assigns a service aerial vehicle to provide service in response to the aerial vehicle status conflicting with the delivery schedule associated with the delivery aerial vehicle. The method further couples the delivery aerial vehicle to the service aerial vehicle while the delivery aerial vehicle and service aerial vehicle are in-flight. The method further provides power source assistance or aerial vehicle component assistance to the delivery aerial vehicle by the service aerial vehicle while the delivery aerial vehicle and service aerial vehicle are in-flight.

In-flight servicing of an aerial vehicle

An autonomous vehicle is provided. The autonomous vehicle includes a vehicle body, sensors and a processing element. The sensors are deployed on the vehicle body to sense surroundings of the vehicle body. The processing element is coupled to the vehicle body and the sensors. The processing element is configured to receive information from the sensors and to control driving operations of the vehicle body in accordance with the received information. The processing element is also configured to interpret at least a portion of the received information as being indicative of a troublesome incident and to deduce that a need for help to address the troublesome incident exists.

Methods, systems and computer program products for displaying an augmented image using a holographic object via a mobile device are provided. Aspects include receiving, by a processor of the mobile device while displaying an image on a display screen of the mobile device, a user input. Aspects also include identifying a portion of the image based on the user input. Aspects further include outputting, by a holographic module of the mobile device, one or more dynamic holographic objects in three-dimensional space above the display screen, wherein the one or more dynamic holographic objects are determined at least in part based on the portion of the image identified.

A method managing a generated route for multiple modes of transportation includes displaying guidance for a generated route based on a travel itinerary between an origin location and a destination location, wherein the generated route includes at least one mode of transportation alteration. The method receives user data associated with a user traveling at a specific point along the generated route. The method generates a confidence score for the user traveling along generated route based on the received user data. Responsive to determining the confidence score is below a confidence level threshold, the method modifies the generated route based on an analysis of the generated route at the specific point, wherein the modified route causes the confidence score to increase above the confidence level threshold. The method displays guidance for the modified route.

Multi-mode route selection

Generating a virtual fence for vehicles to perform a drop off and a pick up. A drop off location is determined for a first vehicle and a route is determined for the first vehicle to the drop off location. The virtual fence is generated at the drop off location which defines a safe area for performing the drop off and pick up. A boundary of the virtual fence is communicated to at least one other vehicle in proximity of the drop off location. In at least one embodiment, autonomous vehicles perform the drop off and pick up within the virtual fence at the drop off location.

Dynamic drop off and pick up of passengers via autonomous vehicles

A construction of a dynamic object password (DOP) is initiated by selecting an object from a set of objects in a step of the construction. A transformation is applied to the object to form a transformed object by altering a dynamic aspect of the object. A placement operation is performed on the transformed object relative to a field position of the DOP. As a part of the step, a triple is generated including an identifier of the selected object, an identifier of the transformation, and an identifier of the placement operation. The triple is transmitted as a part of transmitting an authorization code, the authorization code forming the DOP.

A method for transporting a parcel comprises a marine unmanned vehicle (MUMV) receiving a waterproof tote, coupling the tote to a tether, and towing the tether and the tote, with the tether floating on the transport waterway and the tote immersed in the the transport waterway, to a delivery location. The method can include an MUMV receiving the tote from, and/or delivering the tote to, an aerial vehicle. An unmanned water transport system (UWTS) comprises an MUMV, a floating tether, and a waterproof tote containing a parcel for transport on a transport waterway. The MUMV and tether are configured to tow the tether, with the tether floating on the transport waterway, and the tote coupled to the tether and immersed in the water of the transport waterway, to transport the tote from a source location to a delivery location on the transport waterway. The UWTS can perform the method.

Waterborne parcel transport

A method comprises a computer-implemented virtual reality (VR) system connecting VR devices in a collaborative VR session. The VR devices are associated with participants in a collaborative activity to perform an ordered procedure directed to a real-world assembly. The VR system receives session inputs from VR devices associated with the participants. The session inputs correspond to actions of the participants to modify a virtual object included in a VR expression of the VR session. The virtual object corresponds to the real-world assembly. In response to the session inputs, the VR system performs a transaction directed to the virtual object, which produces modifications of the real-world assembly corresponding to the modifications of the virtual object. A collaborative VR system can comprise a VR server and VR devices configured to perform the method. A computer program product can instruct processors of a VR system to perform the method.

Collaborative virtual reality computing system

An apparatus for traffic control is disclosed. A method and a system also perform the functions of the apparatus. The apparatus includes an alert module that broadcasts an alert signal to a vehicle on a roadway. The alert indicates a presence of an alert zone along the roadway. The apparatus includes an alert zone module that broadcasts a location of the alert zone, where the alert signal has a signal strength sufficient for an autonomous vehicle control system of the vehicle to receive the alert signal a predefined distance before entering the alert zone as the vehicle approaches the alert zone. The apparatus includes an instruction module that broadcasts one or more instructions regarding driving within the alert zone.

An example computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a processing device, a signal from a sensor of a user device associated with a user who is physically indicating at a geographic area, the signal including direction information and inclination information associated with the indicating. The method further includes determining, by the processing device, a direction the user is indicating based on the direction information. The method further includes determining, by the processing device, a distance that the user is indicating based on the inclination information. The method further includes determining, by the processing device, a specified geographic area based on the direction the user is indicating and the distance the user is indicating. The method further includes identifying, by the processing device, a listening device located in proximity to the specified geographic area. The method further includes enabling, by the processing device, the listening device to capture audio.
