An acoustic system is disclosed. The acoustic system includes a sound absorptive substrate, and a rigid polyester shell configured to be positioned over the sound absorptive substrate. The rigid polyester shell is configured to be mounted on an interior surface of a building such that at least some sound waves pass through the rigid polyester shell. The shell is configured to provide aesthetic features to the acoustic system.

Acoustic system and method

An acoustic system is disclosed. The acoustic system includes a number of acoustic panel sections having a variety of acoustic properties. Each acoustic panel section is configured to be mounted on an interior surface of a building and cooperates with the other acoustic panel sections to define a pattern on the interior surface of the building.

Acoustic panel

Various configurations of a microphone shield are disclosed. Each of the microphone shields includes a number of panels configured to be positioned around a point in space at which a microphone may be positioned. Acoustic liners may be coupled to the panels. At least one of the panels and/or acoustic liners is configured to define an arc that is convex in shape relative to the point in space.

Microphone shield

An acoustic isolator is placeable between a sound producing body and a resting surface. The acoustic isolator includes a foam member having a first surface for receiving the sound producing body and a second surface for engaging the resting surface. The foam member is composed of a supportive foam member capable of substantially preventing the transfer of sound induced vibrations between the sound producing body and the resting surface while sustaining an internal deflection of less than about thirty percent.

Acoustic isolator

A foam-type acoustic panel is designed to be mountable on a stand having a shaft. The acoustic panel includes a main body portion. The main body portion has a first end, a second end, a front surface, a rear surface, a top surface, a bottom surface, and first and second interlocking members. The first and second interlocking members define a multi-segment cut that extends between the top and bottom surface. The multi-segment cut includes a first end disposed at one of the front and rear surfaces, and a second end disposed interiorly of the other of the front and rear surfaces. The second end of the multi-segment cut defines an elongated aperture extending between the top and bottom surface for receiving a shaft of a stand.
