A power supply module for intelligent electronic apparatuses and capable of transforming the energy of the LV network and of a battery into energy that can be used by said apparatuses is produced to serve as support for said apparatuses. In particular, for a use in a telecontrol equipment item, the casing of the power supply module is flat, can be installed on wall-mounted DIN rails, and includes, on its front face, a DIN rail for fixing the apparatuses that it powers, that is to say other functional modules of the equipment. The casing also includes an apron for the connections. Preferably, the power supply is produced by series connection, and the power supply module includes a port dedicated to external communication via a module of the equipment.

An earth protection device having an input for receiving a first signal representative of an earth fault current, a first signal processing module, and a module for processing protection functions connected to the first signal processing module. The device includes a second signal processing module connected between the input and the first signal processing module for processing the first signal representative of the earth fault current and for supplying to the first signal processing module a second signal representative of the earth fault current. In order to increase the value of the second signal over an RMS value when the fault current comprises pulses of short duration, the second signal has, at decreasing second signal values, a gradient lower than a preset gradient limiting value.

Selector switches placed on the front panel of the trip device enable first protection parameters to be set. The trip device comprises communication means enabling second protection parameters to be set by remote setting. The trip device compares each first parameter with the corresponding second parameter and determines third protection parameters representative of the lower of the first and second parameters. The third protection parameters are taken into account by the trip device for protection against overloads and short-circuits and are displayed on the front panel of the trip device when setting of the parameters takes place or on request.

The electronic trip device comprises a processing unit comprising protection means, and an initialization device of said processing unit. The initialization device comprises means for initialization after an interruption comprising at least one storage register connected to the protection means to store a value of at least one quantity of a protection function and to supply a value of said at least one quantity when initialization of the processing unit is performed. A back-up power supply circuit supplies the storage register, and means for monitoring the back-up power supply circuit delete the register values when a voltage of the back-up power supply circuit drops below a preset threshold.

The trip device comprises a processing unit which gives a tripping order according to the value of the current supplied by current sensors, and to threshold and time delay values defined by setting devices. The setting devices connected to the processing unit comprise multiple contacts. The contacts supply an encoded binary value representative of each position of the setting device. To prevent operating errors between two positions, only one of the contacts changes state between two successive positions. The value supplied by the setting device is the value corresponding to the immediately lower position or to the immediately higher position. The code representative of each position can follow, for example, the order of GRAY encoding.

The circuit breaker comprises a circuit breaker unit onto which there are fixed a communication module, a processing module and a calibration module. The communication module communicates with the processing module only via a connection with galvanic isolation, preferably an optical connection, whereas the calibration module is electrically connected to the processing module. The communication module is, in addition, connected by a mechanical connection to parts of the circuit breaker unit representative of the state of the circuit breaker, and by a bidirectional electrical connection to an external communication bus. An interface connected to the circuit breaker unit can act as support for the calibration module and for an additional module containing information representative of the breaking capacity of the circuit breaker and electrically connected to the processing module.

A signal representative of a rectified current supplied by a current sensor is applied to the input of a correction circuit. The form of the input signal of the correction circuit, deformed with respect to the form of a theoretical signal, is corrected so as to reduce the errors of the rms or mean current values. The output signal of the correction circuit is equal to the input signal if the difference between the output signal and the input signal is lower than a limiting value. In the opposite case, the output signal is equal to a variation signal equal to the limiting value. Application to measuring devices and trip relays.

The monitoring system of the conduction of a low voltage A.C. mains system comprises at least one measuring module creating a D.C. current component between two mains system conductors. The measuring module computes a value representative of the line resistance of the mains system which is proportional to the ratio between the measurement of the D.C. component of the voltage at its terminals and the measurement of the D.C. component of a voltage at the terminals of a resistor through which the D.C. current flows. An increase in this measured value indicates a loss of conduction and, therefore, such an increase is detected and indicated as soon as it exceeds a preset thereshold. A servo module delimits, may also be provided for delimiting the portion of the mains system to be monitored enabling looping of the D.C. current component and regulating the D.C. component of the voltage at its terminals to zero.
