An RFID assembly that includes both a UHF patch antenna and an HF or LF loop antenna is provided. The patch antenna and the loop antenna are arranged inside a housing in such a manner that the loop antenna partially overlaps an end portion of the patch antenna, thereby forming an extension of the patch antenna. In this manner, a performance of the UHF patch antenna can be maintained despite decreasing the size of the same, while an interference between the patch antenna and the loop antenna can be suppressed, in particular, by providing a gap between the same.

RFID assembly

An RFID assembly () includes an RFID chip () having a coupling loop () formed as part of the RFID chip (). In this manner, the RFID chip () can be inductively coupled to a far-field antenna () for RFID communications, without any physical connections between the RFID chip () and the coupling loop () and/or the far-field antenna (). This results in a high temperature resistance of the RFID assembly (), which can be advantageously used, in particular, during tracking of parts in assembly processes requiring higher temperatures.

RFID assembly and tag and method of manufacturing a product using the same

A device for holding a radio frequency identification (RFID) device and securing the RFID device to another object, particularly an object having a curved or irregular shaped surface. The device includes multiple locking plates that interleave or overlap within slots formed in the base of a container holding an RFID device. One of more locking members integral with the locking plates assist in securing one locking plate to another and resist separating the locking plates once installed. Flanges or extensions extend outside of the base and provide structure to secure the device to an object to be identified.

Housing for identification device

An RFID device includes a substrate and an antenna. The antenna includes a first antenna section on a first side of the substrate and a second antenna section on the first side of the substrate and separated from the first antenna section by a non-conductive part of the substrate. The first antenna section includes a first plurality of vias that extend through the substrate from the first side of the substrate to a second side of the substrate. The antenna includes a third antenna section on at least the second side of the substrate to electrically connect conductive portions of the first plurality of vias to the second antenna section. The RFID device includes a circuit on the substrate and to process signals of the antenna.

The present invention concerns a smart tag for attachment to an object. The smart tag comprises an electronic system for contactless communication, a support to which at least part of the electronic system is fixed and at least one destruction component means configured to act on at least one element of the electronic system, when the smart tag is removed from said object, to demolish said at least one element of the electronic system. In at least one embodiment, the destruction component may be a demolisher movably mounted to pass through said support from a first position on one side of the support to a second position on the other side of the support.

A flexible Radio-Frequency IDentification (RFID) tag comprises a flexible substrate layer on which is fixed an antenna connected to a RFID chip, and a second flexible layer placed directly over the said chip and antenna but without any direct mechanical connection to them, such that the substrate layer and the second layer form a protective inlay for the chip and the antenna. The said inlay is embedded in a flexible housing.

Flexible tag

In the high temperature tag of the disclosure, a transponder is placed between at least two thin layers of compressible high temperature material, preferably a high temperature textile. This resulting sandwich is then placed in the closed chamber formed by a two-part-housing of high temperature plastic. Finally, a cover, also of high temperature plastic, is injection-molded over the joining parts of the housing, in order to seal it hermetically.
