A method for reducing vibration noise by an electronic device is described. The method includes obtaining an audio signal. The audio signal includes vibration noise. The method also includes obtaining vibration data from one or more motion sensor signals. The method further includes processing the vibration data to produce microphone-response matched vibration data based on a transfer function. The method additionally includes reducing the vibration noise based on the microphone-response matched vibration data.

Systems and methods for reducing vibration noise

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a technique for touch temperature management of a wireless communications device based on power dissipated over time, and possibly internal temperature readings. For example, the information about power dissipated over time can be utilized along with monitored internal temperatures of a device's internal circuitry to reduce transmit power and/or data rates as required in order to keep a surface temperature of the wireless device below a specified limit. A knowledge of how the device's touch temperature varies with the dissipated power and a knowledge of the power dissipation history can be utilized to determine when to reduce the transmit power in order to avoid overheating (e.g., exceeding the touch temperature limit).

Methods and apparatus for touch temperature management based on power dissipation history

An accessory device having multiple speakers and/or microphones to perform a number of audio functions, for use with mobile devices, are provided. The audio transducers (e.g., microphones and/or speakers) may be housed in one or more extendable and/or rotationally adjustable arms. To compensate for the unwanted signal feedback between the speakers and microphones, acoustic echo cancellation may be implemented to determine the proper distance and relative location between the speakers and microphones. Acoustic echo cancellation removes the echo from voice communications to improve the quality of the sound. The removal of the unwanted signals captured by the microphones may be accomplished by characterizing the audio signal paths from the speakers to the microphones (speaker-to-microphone path distance profile), including the distance and relative location between the speakers and microphones. The optimal distance and relative location between the speakers and microphones is provided to the user to optimize performance.

Optimizing audio processing functions by dynamically compensating for variable distances between speaker(s) and microphone(s) in an accessory device

Mobile communication devices, having multiple speakers and/or microphones to perform a number of audio functions, for use with mobile devices, are provided. The microphones may be housed within the communication device housing. An antenna is provided that includes an antenna body configured for transmitting electrical signals, and one or more mounting surfaces coupled to the antenna body, the one or more mounting surfaces configured for mounting to a device surface so that a resulting thermal resistance (R) between the device surface and the antenna body is less than 15 degrees centigrade per watt.
