A system is disclosed including a mountable component configured with an attachment to allow the mountable component to be readily attached to and removed from an independent wearable garment, a positioning slide connected to the mountable component, a display mount connected to the positioning slide, a lens adjustment arm attached to the positioning slide, and a curved lens surface connected to the lens adjustment arm. The positioning slide is configured to move the lens and display mount in a back and forth direction and a left to right direction. Another system and method are also disclosed.

System and method for providing an augmented reality lightweight clip-on wearable device

A see-through augmented reality system is disclosed. The system includes a head-wearable frame and a lens. The lens has at least one field-of-view (FOV). A sensor is configured to be coupled with respect to a head of a user. The sensor generates sensor data that changes responsive to movements of the head. A display apparatus is mapped to an interior surface of the lens. A controller is coupled to the sensor and to the display apparatus. The controller is configured to determine a current scene within the FOV based at least in part on the sensor data. The controller determines an out-the-window (OTW) scene portion of the current scene and a non-OTW scene portion of the current scene and generates OTW imagery that depicts the OTW scene portion. The controller causes the display apparatus to emit light in accordance with the OTW imagery toward the interior surface of the lens.

See-through augmented reality system

A system a 3D scanning device located at a first location configured to capture information for a 3D model of an object, a first computing system located at a second location configured to provide for an annotation of an augmented reality image on the 3D model, a second computing system located at the first location configured create the 3D model and to illustrate the annotation of the augmented reality image or the annotation of the augmented reality image on the 3D model created at the second location, and a communication protocol configured to communicate the 3D model and the augmented reality image between the first computing system and the second computing system. A method is disclosed. A non-transitory processor readable storage medium, providing an executable computer program product, the executable computer program product comprising a computer software code when executed causes a processor to perform certain functions is also disclosed.
