A fiber optic telecommunications tray is provided with features that improve accessibility and handling of fibers and/or cables in the tray. The tray may include a combination of a fiber storage device, a fiber splice device, and a fiber termination device, which are arranged in a particular order. Alternatively, the tray may include a plurality of fiber termination devices. Further, the tray may include a fiber funneling structure that make is easy to route and retain fibers in the tray.

Fiber optic telecommunications tray with enhanced accessibility and management

A cable distribution system is provided wherein a feeder cable with one or more feeder fibers is received by a distribution device or box. The feeder fibers are terminated to a fiber optic connector. Customers can directly connect to the connectors of the feeder cable through an adapter and a mating connector for a point-to-point connection. Alternatively, a splitter input can be connected to one or more of the connectors of the feeder cable, such as through a pigtail extending from the splitter, wherein the splitter splits the signal as desired into a plurality of outputs. The outputs of the splitters can be in the form of connectors or adapters. Customers can connect to the splitter outputs through a mating connector (and an adapter if needed).

Cable distribution system

Apparatuses and methods for optical fiber loop relaxation are provided for telecommunications management apparatuses, such as fiber optic telecommunications trays. The apparatus includes a radius limiter block for routing fibers therearound, and a fiber loop management recess provided on a peripheral surface of the radius limiter block. The fiber loop management recess is configured to receive a fiber loop management device between the radius limiter block and the fibers routed around the radius limiter block.

Optical fiber loop relaxation

A re-enterable enclosure has a cover arrangement removably disposed within the interior between a rear wall and an access opening to separate the interior into a restricted access region and an unrestricted access region. The cover arrangement extends over the restricted access region to inhibit access to the restricted access region from the access opening. First and second entrances to the restricted access region are provided from the unrestricted access region. The second entrance is different from the first entrance. In some implementations, a termination field is provided at a first side of the restricted access region and a splice tray is provided at a second side of the restricted access region.

The present disclosure relates to cable fixation devices for securing cables such as fiber optic cables to structures such as enclosures, panels, trays, frames or the like. The cable fixation devices can be configured to allow cables to be attached thereto while the fixation devices are disconnected from the structures. The fixation devices can be mounted in densely stacked configurations.

Fiber optic cable fixation device and fiber optic cable mounting system comprising same

Pairs of windows are cut into a distribution cable at various points along the length to couple some of the optical fibers of the distribution cable to drop cables. A wrap-type sealing arrangement can seal a first window of each pair. An enclosure-type sealing arrangement can seal a second window of each pair. The enclosure includes a splice tray and cable storage. Optical adapters and/or a passive splitter also may be disposed within the enclosure.

Sealing enclosure arrangements for optical fiber cables

A cable fixation bracket and methods for securing cables to a cable fixation bracket are disclosed. The cable fixation bracket can include a base portion extending between a pair of mounting structures. A plurality of t-shaped cable fixation projections extending orthogonally from the base portion can be provided, each of which is configured to support a cable and to accept a cable tie. In some examples, the fixation projections are tapered. The cable fixation bracket can also include a bridge portion supporting a plurality of bracket structures for anchoring aramid yarn of the cables. The bracket structures are configured such that aramid yarn of the cables can be wrapped around the bracket structures and returned to the fixation projections or such that the aramid yarn can be wrapped about a termination unit with the termination unit being mounted between a pair of adjacent cable structures.

Cable fixation devices and methods

A spool device () for storing at least a portion of a telecommunications cable () in a storage configuration () includes a base (), a spool member (), and a loop engaging member (). The base () includes a plurality of cable holders () configured for receiving a first portion () and a second portion () of the cable (). The spool member () is mounted to the base () and includes a wrapping area () that is configured for storing a coiled portion () of the cable (). The loop engaging member () is configured for engaging a looped portion () of the cable () and thereby secures at least the coiled portion () and the looped portion () of the cable (). The spool device () may be used as an adjustable overlength device for looped cable. The spool device () may store and dispense the cable () while ends () of the cable () remain connected to stationary first and second devices (), respectively.

An extendable telecommunications patch panel () is disclosed. In one aspect, the patch panel can include a plurality of interconnectable connection parts () for holding telecommunications connectors (), such as adapters. Each connection part () may be provided with features that allow the connection parts () to be interlocked with each other to form the extendable patch panel (). In one aspect, a first connection feature () can be located on a connection part first side () and a second connection feature () can be located on a connection part second side (). The first connection feature () can be configured to interlock with the second connection feature () of an adjacent connection part (). The connection part () may also be provided with an adapter () that allows the connection parts () to be connected in a staggered formation to result in a staggered patch panel ().

A cable fixation device () includes a base (), an upright () projecting from the base and including a fixation projection () having a reduced dimensional portion () for receiving a cable tie (). Ribs () are provided for engaging the cable jacket or a wrap around the cable. The base () and the fixation projections () can be made from molded plastic. The fixation projections () can be staggered on the cable fixation device (). The cable fixation device () can be mounted with a snap arrangement () to an enclosure () with one or more additional cable fixation devices ().

A cable fixation device () includes a base () with fastener holes (), an upright () projecting from the base and including a fixation projection () having a reduced dimensional portion () for receiving a cable tie (). Protrusions () are provided for engaging the cable jacket. Variations on the cable fixation device include a fixation element () which can slide and/or rotate about a vertical rod; a plate element () which includes a plurality of fixation projections extending between two rods; and a plurality of uprights () integrally formed with the base and including forwardly and rearwardly projecting projections. The base () and the fixation projections () can be made from molded plastic.
