An apparatus for providing a patterned structure includes a deposition facility for depositing an electrically conductive material on a cylindrical surface of a transfer roll, a supply facility for providing a flexible substrate with a carrier layer, a press-roll for pressing the flexible substrate with the carrier layer against the surface of the transfer roll, the press-roll being positioned in the rotation direction of the transfer roll with respect to a position where the first deposition facility deposits the substance on the transfer roll, and being arranged for embedding the deposited substance in said carrier layer, wherein the adhesion between the printed substance and the cylindrical surface of the transfer roll is less than the adhesion between the printed substance and said carrier layer, a transport facility for releasing the flexible substrate with the carrier layer embedding the substance as the patterned structure from the transfer roll.

Apparatus and method for providing an embedded structure and for providing an electro-optical device including the same

The invention relates to a substantially transparent electronic device comprising a first contact surface provided with a first pattern of electrically conductive lines and a second contact surface provided with a second pattern of electrically conductive lines, the first contact surface extending parallel to the second contact surface, wherein the first pattern is rotationally displaced with respect to the second pattern by an angle between 15 and 165 degrees. The electrically conductive lines of the said first pattern and the said second pattern are substantially not transparent for visible light and are preferably used as shunting lines. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such device.

Electronic device and a method of manufacturing the same

A device is described for curing patterns of a substance at a surface of a foil. The device a carrier facility for carrying the foil within an object plane, a photon radiation source arranged at a first side of the object plane for emitting photon radiation in a wavelength range for which the foil is transparent, and a first and a second concave reflective surface arranged at mutually opposite sides of the object plane for mapping photon radiation emitted by the photon radiation source into the object plane. Therein the photon radiation source is arranged between the first concave reflecting surface and the object-plane. The photon radiation of the photon radiation source is concentrated into the object plane by the first and the second concave reflective surface.
