The invention relates to a method (S) for generating a plurality of cold-plasma jets at atmospheric pressure in order to treat a target (), wherein said method includes the following steps: producing (S) a primary cold-plasma jet () at atmospheric pressure using a plasma source (); placing (S) a substrate () near the target () to be treated, said substrate () including at least two through-holes; and passing (S) the plasma through the through-holes () of the substrate () such as to generate at least two secondary cold-plasma jets () at atmospheric pressure.

Method and device for generating a plurality of cold-plasma jets at atmospheric pressure

A new device based on very short pulsed discharges, generating plasmas balls and plumes over very long distances (up to several meters). These plasma balls travel in a dielectric guide at the end of which there is generation of an apparent plasma plume like zone, with a shape and intensity dependent on the discharge repetition rate. A secondary mixture plasma can be produced close to a given surface by adding other gas fluxes in the main gas stream. The plasma balls can be generated in gases at a repetition rate in the range from single shot to multi-kilohertz.

Transient plasma ball generation system at long distance

The invention concerns a radiation source, comprising an anode (), a cathode (), an electric discharge gap () between the anode () and the cathode () and a gas input conduit () in the discharge gap (). The gas input conduit () is electrically connected to the anode and the cathode. The invention is characterized in that the gas input conduit () is supplied with gas by a gas supply conduit (), designed to form between its portion () connected to the gas input conduit () and another of its portions connected to a fixed potential, an electric impedance such that it counters the generation of electric discharges inside the gas input conduit ().
