The present invention relates to an injection assistance device including a body with a needle, grasping arrangement and first elastic return arrangement to dampen limited movement of the grasping arrangement, in at least one of the two directions, respectively distal or proximal, during an injection phase, and to maintain the body in its insertion position and the needle at a constant insertion length during the injection step, when the user increases, respectively releases, a distal pressure on the grasping arrangement. The invention also relates to an injection set including an injection device and the assistance device.

Injection set and injection assistance device

The present invention relates to an injection assistance device () comprising a body () with a needle (), grasping means () and first elastic return means () to dampen limited movement of said grasping means (), in at least one of the two directions, respectively distal or proximal, during an injection phase, and to maintain said body () in its insertion position and said needle () at a constant insertion length during the injection step, when the user increases, respectively releases, a distal pressure on the grasping means (). The invention also relates to an injection set () comprising an injection device () and the said assistance device ().

A device for automatically injecting a material into the body is disclosed. The device includes a drive assembly and a disposable assembly including a syringe which is mounted to the drive assembly. The drive assembly includes a drive rod, a driver releasably coupled to the drive rod, and a spring which urges the drive rod towards the syringe assembly. The spring first urges the coupled drive rod and driver along the axis of the device, causing the skin to be penetrated by the needle of the syringe assembly. The drive rod is then decoupled from the driver. The spring continues to urge the drive rod in the axial direction, whereby the drive rod engages a piston in the syringe assembly and causes the displacement of the material therein. A cap is removably mounted to the disposable assembly. Locking members on the cap and disposable assembly prevent removal of the cap until the disposable assembly is moved to the firing position within the drive assembly. A lock release assembly including cooperating elements on the drive assembly and disposable assembly causes disengagement of the locking members upon rotation of the disposable assembly with respect to the drive assembly.

Non-dosing cartridge for an injection device

An assembly for automatically injecting a fluid into the body is provided. The assembly includes a drive assembly, which can be reused many times, and a disposable assembly including a sleeve which contains a syringe. The drive assembly includes a housing having an open end to which a collar is mounted. The collar includes a radially inwardly extending pawl. The sleeve includes a generally cylindrical body having a radially outwardly extending rib. The rib defines a notch which is engageable with the pawl when the disposable assembly is inserted within the drive assembly housing. Engagement of the pawl within the notch prevents the disposable assembly from being ejected from the drive assembly housing should the actuating button of the drive assembly be pushed prematurely. Ejection of the disposable assembly requires its rotation with respect to the drive assembly housing to first disengage the pawl from the notch.

Cartridge for an injection device

A backstop device to prevent inadvertent withdrawal of a stopper or plunger rod from the open distal end of a flangeless syringe barrel. The backstop includes a retaining wall configured to engage at least a portion of the syringe barrel, and a finger plate at the proximal end of the retaining wall. The finger plate includes an aperture adjacent the open proximal end of the syringe through which a stopper may be inserted. If desired, a ridge may be formed around the periphery of the aperture which may engage with a portion of the syringe barrel. The aperture and, if present, the ridge present a smaller passageway than the inside diameter of the syringe, preventing inadvertent removal of the stopper from the syringe. The backstop can be placed on the syringe regardless of the presence or absence of the plunger.
