A multispectral sensor which includes a complementary metal oxide semiconductor substrate having a switching circuit, at least one antenna-receiving combination device for detecting terahertz radiation, at least one additional bolometer for detecting mid-range infrared radiation, and at least one diode for detecting radiation in the visible to near-infrared range. A multispectral imaging and/or spectroscopy system, a method for detecting and/or examining life forms, objects, and materials using such a system, and the use of such a sensor and system are also described.

Multispectral sensor

An image sensor with matrix readout includes a matrix of elementary photodetectors (P) connected through at least a bus (Bpel) to a remote integrator (I) which converts the signal of each elementary photodetector into a voltage. Provided between the end of the bus and the input of the integrator is an impedance matching device (D) with low output capacitance, delivering at its output, during the time for converting photodetector signal, a variation of charge which corresponds to an affine function of the charge present at the input of said matching device, wherein this charge variation is determined by: where Iinj is the instantaneous current of the bus, injected at the input of the impedance matching device, Iint is the instantaneous current at the input of the integrator and Tconv is the conversion time.

Device for converting a photosignal into a voltage in image sensors with remote integrators

A device for generating an image from an IR radiation including a plurality of polarized heat detectors ( ) having specific electric resistances distributed over the focal plane of a detection module so as to deliver a signal representing a detected IR radiation. A read module ( ) converts the electric signal into a signal usable by an image processing block ( ). An electric signal compensation module ( ) having a first branch ( ) for obtaining a first thresholding to extract a first constant value signal due to the polarization of the heat detectors. The compensation module ( ) includes a second branch ( ) for obtaining a second thresholding to extract from the first thresholding signal a second low-level signal due to the dispersion of the electric resistances of the heat detectors and/or to the fluctuations in the temperature of the focal plane of the detection module.

Infrared radiation detection device

A method and a device are provided for reading a matrix of photonic detectors which delivers a current whose intensity varies according to the incident flux. A set of elementary points (PEL(i,j)) enables the signals delivered by each detector to be read. The quantity processed is the charge. Each elementary point effects a preintegration of the current delivered by a corresponding detector. A charge amplifier effects a reading to condition the signals delivered by the matrix of detectors and to multiplex them to at least one information processing chain.

Device and process for reading a matrix of photonic detectors

A device for reading detector arrays with TDI effect comprises an assembly of lines of detectors each integrating its own contribution during an integration time, with each contribution corresponding to an image in one of an array of elementary circuits. A demultiplexer directs the contribution of each detector into a first elementary circuit determined by this detector and the number of the current image. A summing device, executes the sum of the contribution of the detectors consisting in choosing, for each detector, a second elementary circuit determined in function of the number of the current image and of the detector considered and in executing the sum of these elementary circuits so as to carry out the TDI effect on the detectors in such a manner as to obtain the contribution of the detector line.

Device for reading detector arrays with TDI effect

A device and a method of digitalisation for at least one photosensitive detector (DET(i,j)), which supplies a current, the intensity of which varies in relation to the incident flux, and a method for reading a matrix of photonic detectors. The device includes an assembly of elementary points (PEL(i,j)) which enables the signals supplied by each detector to be read. The quantity processed is the charge, each elementary point carrying out a preintegration of the current supplied by a corresponding detector and at least one information processing chain, including a regeneration device which carries out a reading of the resultant charge quantity in the form of a current pulse so as to package the signals supplied by the detectors; the signals coming from the processing chain(s) being multiplexed to at least one digital output.
