This disclosure provides a method and system to convert a first digital representation of a document including a first format to a second digital representation of the document including a second format. According to an exemplary method, a preexisting printed assessment is scanned to produce an image file and an educational assessment analysis system captures an image area associated with a question, processes the captured image area to automatically assign metadata associated with an independent assessment creation process to the captured image area, which is subsequently processed to generate an assessment based on the assigned metadata which conforms with a format consistent with the independent assessment creation process.

Method and system to attribute metadata to preexisting documents

A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and apparatus for providing a customized handwriting zone are disclosed. For example, the method receives a handwriting sample for a user, measures dimensions of the handwriting sample for the user, generates one or more handwriting zones that are sized in accordance with the dimensions of the handwriting sample of the user, receives a request to generate a form for the user and provides the form that includes the one or more handwriting zones that are customized in accordance with the dimensions of the handwriting sample of the user.

A system for recognizing processes performed by a call center agent during a session may receive input data from a screen recording system that includes a video signal representing a plurality of frames from a time-series video recording or video stream of a desktop of a user electronic device. The system processes the video signal to identify one or more frames of interest from the plurality of frames. Each frame of interest includes a change in a layout of the corresponding one or more screens as compared to a preceding frame in the time-series video recording. The system automatically identifies actions performed by the call center agent that represent an interaction that the call center agent had with one or more screens corresponding to the frame of interest. The system generates an event log that includes a timeline depicting a visual representation of the identified actions.

A system for recognizing processes performed by a call center agent during a session may collect input data by initiating a screen capture logging thread to capture screen shots of a desktop of the electronic device during a session. The system analyzes the input data to generate one or more events, generates a mid-level event log comprising one or more of the events, and performs action recognition on the mid-level event log to ascertain one or more actions that were performed within the one or more graphical user interfaces by the call center agent during the session.

Methods and systems for automatically recognizing actions in a call center environment using screen capture technology

A system for recognizing processes performed by a call center agent during a session collects from one or more input devices in communication with the electronic device, input data that includes data pertaining to one or more interactions that a call center agent has with one or more programs running on the electronic device that cause one or more graphical user interfaces to be displayed on a desktop of the electronic device during a session. The system analyzes the input data to generate one or more events and a mid-level event log having one or more of the events, and performs action recognition on the mid-level event log to ascertain one or more actions that were performed within the one or more graphical user interfaces by the call center agent during the session.

A system for performing queue-based routing of print jobs in one or more print production environments includes a computing device having a processor, and a computer-readable storage medium in communication with the computing device. The computing device will receive print jobs from one or more client computing devices, and the computing device will store the received print jobs in a scheduling queue. When the computing device determines that a released print job has been released by a print production environment, it will determine a similarity metric for a plurality of print jobs in the scheduling queen, identify the print job having the highest similarity metric, and route the identified print job to the print production environment for processing.

Methods and systems for performing queue-based routing of print jobs in a multi-site print production environment

An image is received that contains handwritten characters as answers to an inquiry. An automatic character recognition process is performed on the image to generate initially recognized characters from the handwritten characters. The initially recognized characters of an incorrect answer to a question of the inquiry are analyzed to automatically identify alternative recognized characters of the incorrect answer. Then, it can be determined whether one or more of the alternative recognized characters, when substituted in place of the initially recognized characters of the incorrect answer, change the incorrect answer to a correct answer to the question. If the alternative recognized characters substituted in place of the initially recognized characters in the correct answer exceed a minimum character recognition confidence value, the incorrect answer is changed to the correct answer to modify the initially scored answers to modified scored answers, and such are output.

Confirming automatically recognized handwritten answers

Methods and systems evaluate the most recent print job processed with different printing sites to calculate the current residual capacity for each of the different printing sites. The current residual capacity is determined and maintained by a computerized server. These methods and systems can then calculate the turnaround time of a print job for each of the different printing sites based on the current residual capacity, can calculate the cost of the print job for each of the different printing sites based on historical cost information maintained by the computerized server, and can calculate a weighted sum of the turnaround time and cost of the print job for each of the different printing sites. This allows these methods and systems to select one of the different printing sites based on the relatively lowest weighted sum for the print job, and to assign the print job to the selected printing site.

Optimal scheduling of multi-site enterprise print jobs

A system for performing queue-based routing of print jobs in a multi-site print production environment may include an electronic dispatch system having a scheduling queue, at least one processor and a computer-readable storage medium. The computer-readable storage medium may include programming instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to receive print jobs from client computing devices, identify one or more print shops, select a set of print jobs from the scheduling queue that are to be assigned to the print shops for completion, generate a feasibility matrix for the selected print jobs, determine a preliminary assignment of the selected print jobs to the identified print shops using a set cover heuristic, use a linear programming heuristic to determine a final assignment of the selected print jobs to the identified print shops, and route each of the selected print jobs to an assigned print shop as specified by the final assignment.

Methods and systems for performing queue-based assignment of print jobs in a multi-site print production environment

A computer-implemented method, system, and computer-readable medium is disclosed for determining a sequence order for vehicles in one or more image frames from an operational video, the operational video acquired from a fixed video camera comprising a field of view associated with a vehicle merge area where upstream traffic from a first lane and upstream traffic from a second lane merge to a single lane. The method can include obtaining operational video from a fixed video camera; detecting, within a region of interest (ROI) of the one or more image frames from the operational video, a first area and a second area in the vehicle merge area using a trained classifier that is trained to detect the first area and the second area; and determining the sequence order of the vehicles based on the first area and the second area that are detected.

System and method for automated sequencing of vehicle under low speed conditions from video

A method, system, and apparatus for capturing information is disclosed. The method includes emitting energy of a first wavelength from a first energy source located proximate to a first end of a digital pen and forming a first set handwritten markings on the substrate by causing the substrate to image as a result of an exposure of the substrate to the energy emitted from the first energy source. The method also includes detecting by an image-capturing sensor of the digital pen a first detected portion of a position-identifying pattern on the substrate and storing in the memory a digital document file comprising the first set of handwritten markings and the first detected portion of the position-identifying data. An apparatus and system for performing the method is also disclosed.

System and method for creating and modifying physically transient handwritten digital documents

This disclosure provides methods and systems to classify handwritten words associated with an answer to a question. According to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure, a reference dictionary is constructed as a function of a known answer to the question, the reference dictionary including handwritten characters which are used for comparison purposes to determine if the handwritten answer if correct or not.

Methods, devices, and systems replace solid lines of user-fillable areas of a print job with patterned lines and then print the print job with the patterned lines to print user-fillable pre-printed forms, using a printing device. Further, such methods, devices, and systems produce an altered scan by removing only the patterned lines from the scan to leave the user markings in the altered scan using the image processor. Then, these methods, devices, and systems can identify user-supplied characters by performing automated character recognition on the user markings in the altered scan using the image processor and output such user-supplied characters from the image processor.
