A universal connector for an adjustable golf club is provided. Such a universal connector includes a first member having a head portion and a body portion and having a bore for receiving a terminal end of a shaft. The connector also includes a second member having a bore for receiving a portion of the first member therein. The first member includes a first anti-rotational member and the second member includes a second anti-rotational member. The first and second anti-rotational members are engageable with one another to prevent relative rotation of the first member relative to the second member about a longitudinal axis of the connector. The second member includes a third anti-rotational member, the third anti-rotational member configured to mate with an anti-rotational member of the golf club head to prevent relative rotation of the second member relative to the head.

A post-printing treatment for printed media includes a wax suspended in water. Particles of the wax to lie upon at least an inkjet ink image on the printed media to facilitate abrasion resistance of the image.

An inkjet recording medium includes a substrate having two opposed surfaces, an ink receiving layer disposed on at least one of the two substrate surfaces, and a porous protective layer disposed on the ink receiving layer. The ink receiving layer receives an ink when printed thereon. The protective layer includes: reactive polymer particles that cross-link upon exposure to microwave radiation; non-reactive polymer particles that coalesce upon exposure to microwave radiation; or a combination of the reactive polymer particles and the non-reactive polymer particles, to form a substantially non-porous protective film that covers the printed ink.

Inkjet recording medium, and method of using the same

A recording medium includes a protective layer and a porous ink receiving layer. The protective layer includes a first binder and a first set of polymeric beads. The first set of polymeric beads has an average volume-based particle size equal to or greater than ten microns. The protective layer has a coat weight equal to or less than three grams per square meter. The recording medium also includes a porous ink receiving layer including a first set of pigments and a second binder.

A non-absorbing barrier layer for photographic printing paper includes a non-polyolefin resin. A photographic printing paper includes a base substrate; a image receiving layer and a barrier layer comprising a non-polyolefin resin coated on the base substrate. A method of making a photographic printing paper includes coating a barrier layer comprising a non-polyolefin resin on a base substrate. Another method of making a photographic printing paper includes forming a barrier layer on a base substrate using reactive monomers.

A recording medium includes a base substrate, a fusible layer including a first set of polymeric beads and a second set of polymeric beads, and an ink receiving layer disposed between the base substrate and the fusible layer. The first set of polymeric beads has an average volume-based particle size less than two microns. The second set of polymeric beads has an average volume-based particle size equal to or greater than five microns. The fusible layer includes a weight percent of the second set of polymeric beads of at least three percent.

A print medium for ink-jet printing comprises a base substrate, a micro-porous ink-receiving layer, and a backing layer. The base substrate can include raw base paper and a moisture barrier layer between the raw base paper and ink receiving layer. The ink-receiving layer can be a micro-porous type, and can be applied onto the moisture barrier at the first side of the base substrate and the backing layer can be applied to a second side of the base substrate. The backing layer can include an extruded coated polymer layer and can be configured to transport solvent vapor to the base substrate at the rate of at least 15 g/m/24 hr.

Stackable ink-jet media

A connector of a golf club is provided. The connector includes a shaft adapter and a hosel adapter. A compression nut fits over both adapters to secure them against one another. The hosel adapter advantageously fits over the hosel, thereby allowing the bore of the hosel to remain unmodified from its original design. The connector also includes an anti-rotation arrangement to prevent relative rotation between the shaft adapter and the hosel adapter. Further, the tip end of the club shaft passes entirely through the connector and seats within the hosel as it normally would in the absence of the connector. The connector does not surround the tip end of the shaft where it seats in the hosel, giving the club an unaltered feel, despite the inclusion of the connector.

The present invention is drawn to a composition for cast-coating on ink-jet media. The composition includes a liquid vehicle, silica particulates, and an internal release agent. The composition is substantially free of polymeric binder and can improve the glossiness of a porous particulate-coated ink-receiving media by at least 2 gloss units at 20 degrees. The silica particulates can be suspended in the liquid vehicle at about 1-35 wt %, and can have a particle size of less than about 150 nm. The internal release agent can be present at about 0.5-10 wt %.

Gloss-enhancing coating for ink-jet media

The present invention is drawn to a media sheet, comprising a substrate and a porous ink-receiving layer deposited on the substrate. The porous ink-receiving layer can comprise inorganic metal or semi-metal oxide particulates bound by a polymeric binder, and the porous ink-receiving layer can further include an effective amount of a sulfur-containing compound that interacts with ozone upon exposure thereto.

A connector for releasably securing a shaft and a head having a hosel with a bore of standard size. The connector includes a shaft adapter, a hosel adapter, and a compression nut. The shaft adapter has a shaft bore sized to receive the shaft, a first threaded coupling member, and a axial shaft. The hosel adapter has a hosel bore and a main body portion. The hosel bore is sized to receive the axial shaft. The compression nut has a second coupling member. The shaft is secured within the shaft bore and the main body portion is secured within the bore of the hosel using an adhesive and the axial shaft is inserted within the hosel bore. Thereafter, the compression nut is rotated to couple the first and second coupling members together thereby securing the shaft and head together without the shaft being received within the bore of the hosel.

Methods of polymerizing polyethylene-based polymers on a support, and supports coated with polyethylene-based polymers. The coated supports may be used to improve the ink fixation properties of an ink-jet printing medium. The coated supports may also be useful for highly tailored chromatographic separations.
