An object folding tool is leveraged in a digital medium environment. A two-dimensional (2D) representation of an unfolded object is obtained, and visual cues indicating folds for transforming the unfolded object into a folded object are detected. Based on the detected visual cues, a shape of the folded object is determined, and a three-dimensional (3D) representation of the folded object having the determined shape is generated. In one or more implementations, the 2D representation of the unfolded object and the 3D representation of the folded object are displayed concurrently on a display device.

A neighboring panel view is leveraged in a digital medium environment. Initially, a view generation system receives a selection of panels of a three-dimensional (3D) assembled representation of an object, such as to apply digital graphics to the 3D assembled representation. The view generation system also receives a selection of an option to display a neighboring panel view, which is a two-dimensional (2D) flattened view local to the selection. In particular, the neighboring panel view displays an arrangement of the selected panels of the object and their neighboring panels. The view generation system arranges the selected panels in this arrangement as those panels are arranged in the 3D assembled representation. The view generation system also arranges the neighboring panels in the neighboring panel view adjacent to the selected panels with which they are adjacent on the object.

One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for ordering images for panorama stitching and/or for providing a focal point indicator for image capture. For example, one or more images, which may be stitched together to create a panorama of a scene, may be stored within an image stack according to one or more ordering preferences, such as where manually captured images are stored within a first/higher priority region of the image stack as compared to automatically captured images. One or more images within the image stack may be stitched according to a stitching order to create the panorama, such as using images in the first region for a foreground of the panorama. Also, a current position of a camera may be tracked and compared with a focal point of a scene to generate a focal point indicator to assist with capturing a new/current image of the scene.

Image capture and ordering

Among other things, one or more techniques and/or systems are provided for defining transition zones for navigating a visualization. The visualization may be constructed from geometry of a scene and one or more texture images depicted the scene from various viewpoints. A transition zone may correspond to portions of the visualization that do not have a one-to-one correspondence with a single texture image, but are generated from textured geometry (e.g., a projection of texture imagery onto the geometry). Because a translated view may have visual error (e.g., a portion of the translated view is not correctly represented by the textured geometry), one or more transition zones, specifying translated view experiences (e.g., unrestricted view navigation, restricted view navigation, etc.), may be defined. For example, a snapback force may be applied when a current view corresponds to a transition zone having a relatively higher error.

Translated view navigation for visualizations

'Experience Streams' (ESs) are used by a 'rich interactive narrative' (RIN) data model as basic building blocks that are combined in a variety of ways to enable or construct a large number of RIN scenarios for presenting interactive narratives to the user. In general various ES types contain all the information required to define and populate a particular RIN, as well as the information (in the form of a series of navigable states) that charts an animated and interactive course through each RIN. In other words, combinations of various ES provide a scripted path through a RIN environment, as well as various UI controls and/or toolbars that enable user interaction with the interactive narrative provided by each RIN. Example ESs include, but are not limited, content browser experience streams, zoomable media experience streams, relationship graph experience streams, player-controls/toolbar experience streams, etc.

Experience streams for rich interactive narratives

A document that includes a representation of a two-dimensional (2-D) image may be obtained. A selection indicator indicating a selection of at least a portion of the 2-D image may be obtained. A match correspondence may be determined between the selected portion of the 2-D image and a three-dimensional (3-D) image object stored in an object database, the match correspondence based on a web crawler analysis result. A 3-D rendering of the 3-D image object that corresponds to the selected portion of the 2-D image may be initiated.

Three-dimensional object browsing in documents

A 3D model of an object is rendered using centered images of the object. An algorithm executed locally or in a distributed manner calculates camera positions for the images and determines a virtual camera path based on the camera positions. The application adjusts the images to fit the plane of the virtual camera path and fills in the gaps between the images using transition renderings. To improve user experience, the application also calculates resting positions for navigation stop points using a spring system. Upon constructing the 3D model, the application can transmit the 3D model to a variety of user devices including the network connected device having a camera module that captured the images.

Navigation model to render centered objects using images

Techniques and systems are disclosed for navigating human scale image data using aligned perspective images. A consecutive sequence of digital images is stacked together by aligning consecutive images laterally with an image offset between edges of consecutive images corresponding to a distance between respective view windows of the consecutive images. A view window of an image in the sequence is rendered, where the view window of the image corresponds to a desired location. Offset portions of the view window of a desired number of images in the sequence are rendered, for example, alongside the full view of the image at the desired location.

Rendering aligned perspective images

A method of converting between color spaces where color components are cached when they are well-defined after color space conversion. When the components become undefined after conversion, the cached values are used instead of using an arbitrary default value. The resulting color editing system is 'robust' in that it matches users' expectations, shielding them from surprising glitches introduced by the user of the arbitrary values for undefined color components.

Robust interactive color editing

A system and method for generating color gradients is provided. The system generates color gradients using techniques from geometric surface modeling. The system and method of the present invention allow designers to specify very complex gradients in a simple way. The system can employ, for example, a vector-based interpolation method and/or a pixel-based partial differential equation (PDE) interpolation methods to facilitate generation of the color gradients. In one example, input boundary curves and/or feature curves are approximated by line segments, which are then utilized to generate a triangulation approximating a smooth color gradient.

Blending colors of source and destination primitives by a graphics processing unit is disclosed. The graphics processing unit executes a blending program that blends the primitives. The graphics processing unit receives the blending program from a central processing unit or a graphics application program. For example, the graphics processing unit draws a source primitive in a source texture map and a destination primitive in a destination texture map. The blending program (e.g., a pixel shader) is set to be applied to the primitives, and the graphics processing unit applies the blend mode to each pixel of the primitives, rendering a composite primitive in a destination render target.

A method for converting a subdivision surface, such as a Catmull-Clark subdivision surface, into a cubic Bezier surface defined by sixteen control points. The method includes (a) converting a subdivision face to Bezier control points using a conversion matrix using fifteen points and a dummy value for an unavailable sixteenth point; and (b) replacing one of the Bezier control points which corresponds to an extraordinary point on the subdivision face with the extraordinary point's limit point.
