A liquid-transport device has a liquid-tight support () on which there is applied a start zone () for applying transport liquid to be transported and a target zone (-) into which the transport liquid is to be transported and also a conduction zone that extends between the start zone () and the target zone (-) and that has a microporous transport layer () in which the transport liquid flows by capillary force from the start zone () to the target zone (-). The conduction zone has a multiplicity of open flow channels separated from one another by microporous bridges having open-pored side walls.

Liquid-transport and analytical test device

Device and method for sterility testing, in particular of pharmaceutical products, includes a closed sterility test system having at least two test containers, in each case having an integrated test filter, an outlet connecting branch arranged below the test filter and an inlet connecting branch which is arranged above the test filter and can be connected with a tube connection via a sampling device to a sample container. The tube connection of the test container in each case has a distributing component via which a fixed tube connection to an associated nutrient medium container is formed and can be used to feed an associated nutrient medium to the test container.

Device and method for sterility testing

A process for potting hollow fibers within a body is disclosed wherein a bundle of hollow fibers is formed within a hollowed portion of the body such that the fibers are substantially aligned and uniformly spaced. A molten thermoplastic composition is dispensed into the body at a contact temperature below the melting point of the hollow fibers. The bundle and the body are both at a temperature which is sufficiently low enough to cause solidification of the molten composition substantially upon contact with the bundle. A pressure differential is applied to the body to assist the flow of the thermoplastic composition around each of the hollow fiber elements such that the bundle and the interior of the hollowed portion of the body are encapsulated by the thermoplastic composition thereby assuring reliable sealing between the hollow fiber elements and the interior of the hollowed portion of the body.
