A hanger () is provided for supporting a load on a threaded object () with a longitudinal axis. The hanger () can include a hanger body (), a hole () in the hanger body (), and a partial thread portion (). The hole () can be configured to receive the threaded object () therethrough. The partial thread portion () can be configured to engage with a thread of the threaded object () when the hanger () is in an engaged configuration. The hanger () can be configured to move from a non-engaged configuration to the engaged configuration without rotation of the hanger body () or the threaded object () about the longitudinal axis of the threaded object ().

Systems and methods for a hanger for supporting a threaded object

A splice clip is provided for coupling discrete sections of a wire mesh cable tray. The splice clip can include a bolt with a base. The splice clip can also include a retainer with a set of pockets, including a first pocket and a second pocket. The first pocket can receive a first wire of a first discrete cable tray section and the second pocket can receive a second wire of a second discrete cable tray section. The bolt can be movable along the retainer between an open position and a closed position to secure the first and second wires in the first and second pockets.

Splice clip for cable trays

A cable support includes a support body with a saddle configured to support one or more cables, and a stem and a leg that extend from opposite ends of the saddle. A securing member is coupled to the leg. The securing member is movable between a first configuration configured to secure one or more cables within the saddle and a second configuration configured to permit one or more cables to be moved into or out of the saddle. The leg including a retaining tab that releasably secures the securing member in the second configuration.

Data cable support

A spring nut for attaching a threaded object to a structure with reentrant lips. The spring nut can include a base, a first arm and a second arm extending from the base in a first direction, and legs extending laterally from the base. The arms can include a support portion, a structure-engagement portion, and a thread-engagement portion that can be configured to secure the threaded object against axial loading in a second direction opposite the first direction. Crumple zones in the support portions can deform upon loading of the threaded object in the second direction to cause the structure-engagement portion to be urged into the reentrant lips. Each of the legs can extend at a first angle from the base, toward the structure-engagement portions, to be disposed to contact an exterior surface of the reentrant lips of the structure when the first and second arms are received in the channel.

A splice clip for coupling discrete sections of a wire mesh cable tray. The splice clip can include a bolt with a base, a first ledge, and a second ledge opposing the first ledge. The base and the first and second ledges can define a passageway along the bolt. The splice clip can also include a retainer with a set of pockets, including a first pocket and a second pocket, and a set of guidance features configured to translate within the passageway to guide the bolt along and in engagement with the retainer. The first pocket can be configured to receive a first wire of a first discrete cable tray section and the second pocket can be configured to receive a second wire of a second discrete cable tray section. The bolt can be movable along the retainer between an open position and a closed position.

A cable support includes a support body, a mounting tab, and at least one extension connecting the mounting tab to the support body. The support body includes a saddle configured to support cables and a stem extending in a first direction from a rear end of the saddle, which is opposite a front end. The mounting tab is configured to be secured to a support structure and includes a secondary tab. The at least one extension is bendable to move the mounting tab between a wall-mount configuration and a rod-mount configuration.

A cable tray clip can couple sections of a wire mesh cable tray. The cable tray clip can include a base and a retainer rotatably coupled to the base. The retainer can be rotated to a closed position to retain one or more wires within one or more pockets on the base.

A spring nut for attaching a threaded object to a structure can include first and second arms extending from the base, and a wedge element. The wedge element can be configured to selectively operatively urge the first and second arms apart to release the threaded object from between the first and second arms.

A toggle can secure a cable relative to a structure with a fixing aperture. A body of the toggle can include a cable portion and a set of side walls. The cable portion can receive and secure the cable. The side walls can extend away from the cable portion to define a channel, with the channel being at least partly open along one or more sides of the toggle body. The toggle body can be configured to engage the structure along a loading side of the body to secure the cable relative to the structure.

Mounting bracket for a brace

A locking retainer can be used with a slidable support that includes a two support member with respective sets of locking apertures, with the two support members slidably engaging each other to define a support profile. A strap can at least partly bound an internal area and can support a locking pin that extends into the internal area. The strap can have a locking configuration in which, with the slidable support disposed within the internal area, the locking pin extends into two of the locking apertures to lock the slidable support at a fixed length. A locking retainer can be installed by disposing the slidable support within the internal area, aligning two locking apertures of the slidable support, and applying lateral pressure to a side arm of the locking retainer to seat a locking pin in the aligned locking apertures.

A backless electrical box is formed out of a single piece of material, with a front and sides of the box being parts of the same single piece of material. The front of the box has an integrally-formed mud ring that extends forward from a front base of the front. The sides are made out of material bent back from two opposite edges of the front base, bent around to form the four sides. Some or all of the sides may have seams in them, which may be secured by portions of material overlapping along some or all of the height of the sides, riveted or otherwise attached together. Mounting flanges may extend from the other two opposite edges of the front base. Tabs bent downward from the mounting flanges may be used to cover holes in the sides that extend rearward from these two other opposite edges.

Backless electrical box and method of making

A plumbing bracket assembly has a plastic main bracket body and a telescoping bracket. The telescoping bracket runs through the main bracket body, and is able to extend to allow the bracket assembly to be secured to structure (such as studs) at both ends, over a range of distances between structure elements. The bracket body is initially able to slide along the telescoping bracket, for desired positioning, but may be locked in place using screws on the main bracket body. Hardware, such a hose clamp and multiple pipe clamps, is initially coupled to the main bracket body. The main bracket body may have a central depression for receiving a relatively large pipe run, and notches or depressions on opposite sides of the central depression, for receiving smaller pipe runs.

A drop-in loop hanger includes a U-shape portion or saddle for receiving an object to be supported, such as a pipe run, and an arm that guides the object to be supported into the U-shape portion. The hanger may include a moving portion that pivots at a hinge to allow entry of the object, then closes off the entryway to help retain the object within the hanger. The hanger may include a threaded portion for receiving a threaded rod, for example to mount the hanger from a ceiling or other structure or objects. The object may be placed in a series of already-installed hangers, for example placing a run of pipe in a series of hangers that support the pipe at different axial locations along the pipe.

Drop in loop hanger

A device is used for gripping and securing cable for the purpose of suspending objects or loads. The device may be a two-barrel device that allows the user to create a loop of cable to secure to a hanging load, or to a structural member. The user of the locking device feeds the cable through one barrel, around an object to be suspended, and through the other barrel. The device has carriers installed in sockets in a housing, with wedge-shape jaws in openings in the carriers able to engage the cable and hold the cable within the device. Pushing or pulling of the carrier is used to release the spring force pressing the jaws inward, allowing the cable to be removed from the device.
