An improved food slice stacker is coupled to a meat slicer to automatically stack the slices from the slicer. The stacker includes a frame with a pair of spaced apart parallel supports that support a sprocket roller with axially spaced sets of sprocket teeth and a pulley roller with a plurality of axially spaced pulley members. The pulley members are aligned with the sets of sprocket teeth. A plurality of slice transport chains respectively engage the sets of sprocket teeth and the pulley members. The sprocket roller is motorized to enable the chains to transport food slices. The pulley roller is monolithically formed of a friction-free material to provide smooth surfaces that reduce retention of food particles thereon during washing.

A grill cover that is rain-impermeable and reversibly stretchable, and formed of a dual-layer sheet. The cover is substantially stretchable to a size sufficient to cover a grill, such as a gas grill. Rain runs off of the installed cover, while condensation on the grill evaporates through the sheet without absorbing to the sheet.

A latching removable can handle includes an elongated handle, a lower retainer structure to engage a lower rim of a can, and an upper attachment mechanism to releasably engage an upper rim of the can and including latch member mounting structure. The attachment mechanism includes a single latch member directly engaged with the mounting structure which and movable between a released position and a latched position. The attachment mechanism may include a lock member movable between an unlocked position and a locked position in which it retains the latch member in its latched position.

An improved food slice stacker that can be coupled to a meat slicer, to automatically stack the slices on food into stacks, wherein the stacker can be easily washed and sanitized to remove food particles therefrom. The stacker includes a frame with a pair of spaced apart parallel supports that support a transport mechanism. The transport mechanism includes a plurality endless transport chains, an integrally formed sprocket sleeve with sprocket portions that engage and drive the chains and an integrally formed pulley sleeve with a smooth surface an a plurality of pulley members that also engage the transport chains, wherein the sprocket and pulley sleeves are spaced apart from each other, and wherein the pulley sleeve engages the transport member. The pulley sleeve is integrally formed of a friction-free material so as to provide for smooth surfaces that substantially prevent retention of food particles thereon during washing.

A butterer for dispensing butter to hot corn on the cob. The butterer includes a two part body that is adapted to be disassembled for cleaning and a central channel for receiving butter. The body also removably receives salt and pepper dispensers. The body is ovate in cross section and shaped to conform to the hand of a user. A pusher is positioned over the butter in the channel and allows a user to urge butter through the channel. A lower grill resists direct contact of semisolid butter with the corn, but transfers heat from the corn and allows melted butter to pass to the corn. A stand and storage tray supports the butterer during non use and allows storage with butter therein in a refrigerator.

A meat mallet for tenderizing and flattening meat with a handle, a neck and a head with interchangeable face plates. The face plates have a meat-engaging surface of varying patterns that can be flat, have outwardly projecting points of different sizes and shapes to accommodate meats having different connective tissues or other suitable tenderizing structure. The head has a partially hollow cavity that opens at a front end and stores the face plates in a nested configuration with the top-most plate being an in-use plate. The face plates have a perimeter support shoulder that facilitates the nesting configuration providing a perimeter support system while protecting the meat engaging surfaces of the face plates. A retainer ring has an inner threaded surface that threadedly engages an outer threaded surface of the front end of the head and allows the meat-engaging surface of the in-use plate to partially extend past the retainer ring to engage the subject meat.

A cartridge for a hand operated food processor including a blade holder holding at least one blade. A quick release lock is provided for retaining the cartridge in a casing. The cartridge preferably includes at least one series of aligned blades held by the blade holder utilizable for piercing and cutting food. The invention further includes a food processor having a housing including the above cartridge and a casing holding the cartridge. The invention also includes a food processor having a housing that has at least one blade and preferably at least one longitudinal series of blades for piercing and cutting food where each of the blades has side surface portions and a cutting tip edge portion. A base is provided with openings through which the blades can pass to pierce and cut food. The base includes a fixed base portion and a removable base portion. The removable base portion is provided with a sufficient number of longitudinal slots, open at one end of the slots, so that the slots in the removable base portion can be placed over the side surface portions of the blades without encountering the cutting tip edge portions of the blades. The removable base portion can be easily secured to the fixed base portion and easily removed from the fixed base portion utilizing a quick release latch mechanism. The fixed base portion is secured to the housing by a retracting mechanism that permits retraction of the base relative to the housing so that upon retraction the blades extend through the slots to process food in contact with the bottom of the base.

A telescope and accessory coding system and method includes the association of a unique respective icon, color, or other symbol with each one of a number of optical accessory types which are usable with a telescope, either alone or in optical series with other accessory types. A representation of the symbol which represents that accessory type is placed on each accessory of that type. Furthermore, each accessory of an accessory type which is capable of receiving other accessory types has placed thereon representations of symbols representing those other accessory types which are optically compatible therewith.
