A fitting including a housing defining a bore. The bore of the housing at the first open end including a first threaded section, a first annular shoulder located inboard from the first threaded section, and a second annular shoulder located inboard from the first annular shoulder. A grip ring having a plurality of flexible teeth is positioned within the housing and seated against the second annular shoulder, wherein the flexible teeth grip an exterior surface of the pipe or conduit. A bonnet is seated against the first annular shoulder and has an exterior threaded surface that mates with the first threaded section of the bore. A bonnet washer is positioned between the grip ring and the bonnet, and a pair of seal members are positioned between the bonnet washer and the bonnet that sealingly engage with the exterior surface of the pipe or conduit.

Push-fitting

A safety breathing apparatus has a delivery element configured to deliver respirable gas to a respiratory system of a user. The apparatus includes a breathing hose in fluid communication with a first source of respirable gas. A valve housing includes a first port configured to be couple to the delivery element, a second port configured to be coupled to the breaking hose, and a third port configured to dock with a second source of respirable gas without exposing the user to a surrounding atmosphere.

Hybrid self-rescue equipment

Described herein is a gas detection system () including a housing () having an inlet () in fluid communication with an atmosphere; an analyzer () within the housing () and configured to detect and measure a gas species in the atmosphere using a gas sensor (); and a pneumatic system () contained within the housing () and in fluid communication with the inlet () to draw an air sample from the atmosphere. The pneumatic system () includes a pump (); a low flow branch () in fluid communication with the pump () and having an airflow sensor () and a first orifice (); and a high flow branch () in fluid communication with the pump () and having a second orifice (). Such a system is particularly suitable for remote sampling because it prevents the high flow needed for remote sampling to be directed towards the gas sensor withstanding only low flow. Remote sampling bypass for a gas analyser

A breathing apparatus includes a source of compressed air and a lung demand valve that receives compressed air from the source. A pneumatic valve assembly is connected between the source and the lung demand valve. The pneumatic valve assembly is moveable between a first closed position that prevents a flow of compressed air to the lung demand valve and a second open position that provides a path for compressed air to flow to the lung demand valve. A mask receives the lung demand valve therein. The mask provides the compressed air to a user and having a first operational mode providing filtered ambient air to the user and a second operational mode providing compressed air to the user. A control device is coupled to the pneumatic valve assembly. The control device detects a condition in the air surrounding the apparatus and controlling the pneumatic valve assembly to move between the first closed and second open position and the mask to operate in a respective one of the first and second operational modes.

Breathing apparatus and method of use

A component in a mask in a closed-circuit breathing apparatus includes a lever that actuates a wiper in the mask as well as mount for a communication amplifier. The combined amplifier mount and actuating lever can reduce the profile of the means of actuating the wiper and provide an alternative to using chemical means for preventing the deposition of condensation on the inside of a viewing lens of the mask.
