A method for determining a topology of an Ethernet ring having a plurality of devices includes disabling a first port of a first device of the plurality of devices, detecting a terminated link at a first port of a second device of the plurality of devices, sending a message to a ring topology generator indicating that the first port of the second device is connected to a previous device relative to the second device, and generating the topology of the Ethernet ring based on (1) the message indicating that the first port of the second device is connected to the previous device relative to the second device and (2) an indication that the first device is the previous device relative to the second device.

Systems and methods for determining a topology of an ethernet ring of devices in a building management system

A network system for interconnecting an operational technology (OT) network and an information technology (IT) network in a building. The network system includes an OT network, an IT network, and a network tool. The network tool is configured to obtain a current network configuration of a plurality of OT network switches in an OT network. The current network configuration includes at least one of the network addresses of the plurality of OT network switches and a routing table associated with the plurality of OT network switches. The network tool is further configured to update the routing table to route network traffic between the OT network and an IT network. The network tool is further configured to update the network addresses of the plurality of OT network switches to have network addresses within at least one subnet of the IT network.

Systems and methods for interconnecting OT and IT networks within a building automation system

A system and method of determining a topology of devices in an Ethernet network of a building management system (BMS). The method includes discovering a number and identification of devices within the Ethernet ring. The method further includes, for each device discovered in the Ethernet ring, disabling an Ethernet port of one of the device in the Ethernet ring; broadcasting a ring port request onto the Ethernet ring; receiving a ring port response from each of the devices having received the ring port request; and incrementing a count associated with each device based on receiving a ring port response from the device. The method then repeats the above steps until each device in the Ethernet ring has had an Ethernet port disabled. The method further includes determining the topology of the devices in the Ethernet ring by ordering the devices in the Ethernet ring based on the value of the count associated with each device.

Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for security handling in, for example, cells that support multiple frequency band indication are provided. One method includes receiving, for example by a source evolved node B (eNB) configured to communicate with a user equipment, a multiple frequency band indicator (MFBI) list, the multiple frequency band indicator (MFBI) list comprising at least one frequency band number listed in the same order of priority as broadcast by a target eNB. The method may further include selecting one of the at least one frequency band number for use by the source eNB, calculating a security key (KeNB*) using the DL EARFCN belonging to the selected frequency band number with the highest priority that is also supported by the user equipment, and signaling the calculated security key to the target eNB.

Security handling for multi frequency band

Detection of a fraudulent remote unit (113) in a communication system (100) occurs by external fraud detection equipment (103) located external to, and in proximity to a base site (101). External fraud detection equipment (103) communicates with base site (101) via an uplink communication signal (105) and utilizes fraud detection methods not utilized by internal fraud detection equipment (111) to identify the remote unit (113) as being fraudulent. Once the remote unit (113) is identified by the external fraud detection equipment (103) as being fraudulent, the external fraud detection equipment (103) places an origination order to the base site (101) and supplies identification information on the fraudulent remote unit (113). Infrastructure equipment (109) utilizes information supplied to it by the external fraud detection equipment (103) and disconnects the fraudulent remote unit (113).
