Blockchain system to aid vehicle actions

The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for trash collection management. In an example embodiment, a dumpster monitoring apparatus may determine that an amount of garbage in a dumpster exceeds a threshold level (such as, for example, above a full-level marked on the dumpster). If the garbage exceeds the threshold level, the dumpster monitoring apparatus automatically transmits a request to a dumpster management apparatus to dispatch a garbage truck. In an example scenario, the dumpster monitoring apparatus may further determine that a current location of the dumpster is stationed is inaccessible to the garbage truck. Consequently, the dumpster monitoring apparatus may automatically transmit a request to a robot vehicle (such as robotic forklift) to move the dumpster from the current location to a new location that is accessible to the garbage truck. The dumpster monitoring apparatus may then inform the dumpster management apparatus of the new location.

Trash collection management systems and methods

Robot-assisted package delivery with integrated curbside parking monitoring and curb operations optimization is disclosed herein. An example method includes dispatching a delivery vehicle and delivery robot to a delivery location, the delivery location including a parking location for the delivery vehicle that allows for deployment of the delivery robot on a delivery mission, determining occupancy of the parking location, the delivery vehicle parking at the parking location when the parking location is unoccupied, the delivery robot being deployed upon parking of the delivery vehicle, and instructing the delivery vehicle to remain parked during the delivery mission or to leave the parking location and return at later point in time based on an estimated time of arrival of the delivery robot after the delivery mission.

Robot-assisted package delivery with integrated curbside parking monitoring and curb operations optimization

The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for using vehicles to detect and remediate air pollution. In an example implementation, a server computer transmits a directive to a vehicle controller of a vehicle, to measure an air pollution level around the vehicle at a first location. The vehicle controller executes an air pollution measurement and transmits measurement data to the server computer. The server computer evaluates the measurement data and directs the vehicle controller to perform a remedial action for reducing the air pollution level at the first location. The remedial action can involve, for example, the vehicle controller moving the vehicle from the first location to a second location. The server computer may also determine whether the first location is a transient pollution location or a persistent pollution by directing the vehicle controller to carry out measurements at two different times and/or by employing two different sampling rates.

Air pollution detection and remediation systems and methods

The present disclosure is directed to method for controlling an autonomous or human-driven vehicle that can include receiving, via a processor a vehicle communication indicative of a traffic flow parameter, and determining, based on the vehicle communication, a driver behavior characteristic, determining, via the processor and based on a historic driver behavior record, a driver performance characteristic, generating, via the processor, a first speed assignment and a lane assignment and associated with the vehicle and causing to transmit a first speed and lane assignment message to the vehicle. The system uses enhanced sensing technology within a connected environment to observe vehicle speeds and other vehicle patterns to ingest real-time, road network patterns of vehicle behavior, manages traffic through simulation, and sends messages to dynamic lane management controls such as signage, V2V communication, etc.

Real-time dynamic traffic speed control

Example embodiments described in this disclosure are generally directed to systems and methods for preventing vehicular mishaps. In an example method, an object detector mounted on a building or a roadside fixture, detects an object in a detection coverage area of the object detector. The object is undetectable by a collision avoidance system of a vehicle. The object detector conveys information about the object to a supervisory computer. The information can include, for example, a location and/or a direction of travel of the object (if the object is moving). The supervisory computer evaluates the information and transmits an alert to the collision avoidance system of the vehicle, so as to prevent a collision between the vehicle and the object. In an example situation, where the object is a pedestrian, the supervisory computer may also transmit a warning alert to a personal communication device of the pedestrian.

Systems and methods to prevent vehicular mishaps

A usage rule specifies a number of tokens to access a vehicle. Authorization of a request to access the vehicle is based on receiving the number of tokens specified by the usage rule. The request is stored to an electronic ledger. Actuation of the vehicle is based on the request being authorized. An allocation rule specifies the number of tokens allocated to each of an entity and the vehicle based on the request. Allocation of tokens to the entity and the vehicle is based on the allocation rule.

Distributed vehicle access

A blockchain block generated by one or more blockchain nodes when the one or more blockchain nodes are only connected to a local area network is received, and the blockchain block is synchronized with a blockchain. After determining that a backhaul network device is not connected to the one or more blockchain nodes and then determining that the backhaul network device is connected to the one or more blockchain nodes, the blockchain is transmitted to the one or more blockchain nodes via the backhaul network device upon determining that the backhaul network device is connected to the one or more blockchain nodes.

The memory storing instructions executable by the processor to transmit an authentication request to a vehicle computer, receive, from the vehicle computer, a response including data proving that the vehicle computer includes confidential information, wherein the data does not convey the confidential information, determine whether the response is valid based on the authentication request, and transmit a warning to the vehicle computer when the response is not valid.

Validating vehicles traveling within specific regions

This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for operating a monitoring system incorporating a digital twin. In one exemplary method of operating the digital twin, one or more images captured by an imaging apparatus may be used to define a first portion of a surveilled area as a zone of primary interest and a second portion of the surveilled area as a zone of secondary interest. The digital twin may be utilized to primarily focus on the zone of primary interest such as for determining a pattern of movement of one or more objects in the zone of primary interest. One or both of the zone of primary interest and the zone of secondary interest may be dynamically redefined upon receiving additional images that indicate a modification in the pattern of movement of one or more objects in the surveilled area.

Digital twin monitoring systems and methods

An alarm system for a vehicle, such as a bicycle, includes a touch sensor electrically connected to a vehicle frame. The touch sensor outputs an alarm signal based on a proximity of a person to the vehicle frame. A communication module receives signals from a remote device. A controller is programmed to selectively enable and disable the touch sensor in response to signals received from the remote device.

Proximity-based bicycle alarm

A selection for a shared vehicle is received. Whether the shared vehicle is in view of a user device camera is determined. At least one of directions to the shared vehicle are provided to the user device. Data of the shared vehicle are identified.

Shared vehicle system

A request for a parking space is received from a requesting vehicle. Data is received from at least one data-collecting vehicle related to at least one parking space. Based at least in part on the received data, a parking availability map is generated indicating a parking space appropriate for the requesting vehicle. If the parking space is occupied by an unauthorized vehicle, a message is provided to a parking enforcement authority that the parking space is occupied by an unauthorized vehicle.

Unauthorized vehicle detection

A request to identify a parking spot is received. A response to the request, including an identification of at least one available parking spot, is provided. A parking spot selected from the response is identified. Data relating to the selected spot are collected. A user profile based on the collected data is updated.

Method and system for vehicle parking

A location of a shared vehicle is identified. Shared vehicle usage data is obtained for the location. An instruction is provided to adjust an operating mode of the shared vehicle based at least on the shared vehicle usage data and the location.
