A composition comprising: a blended product of: a matrix polymer; and from 0.05 to 2.5 wt % diffuser polymer particles, wherein the diffuser polymer particles are characterized by an average diameter from 2 to 20 micrometers, a particle size distribution such that at least 90 wt % of the polymer particles fall within &#xb1;30% of the volume average particle size, a crosslinking level greater than 4%; and wherein the diffuser polymer particles comprise units derived from at least one alkyl(meth)acrylate monomer, from 5 wt % to 25 wt % units derived from a crosslinking monomer selected from the group consisting of aliphatic crosslinking monomers, aromatic crosslinking monomers and combinations thereof, optionally, units derived from one or more comonomers selected from the group consisting of aryl(meth)acrylate monomers and monovinyl arenes; and wherein from 0.1 to 20 wt % one or more performance additives dispersed within the diffuser polymer particles is provided.

Amorphous aluminosilicates are disclosed, and these amorphous aluminosilicates are characterized by a unique combination of high surface area, low oil absorption, and a significant fraction of the total pore volume resulting from micropores. These amorphous aluminosilicates can be used in various paint and coating applications, with the resultant dried or solid film capable of removing VOC's from the surrounding air.

Polymeric powder composition and a method of producing same

Polycarbonate blend and method of producing the same

The instant invention provides a thermoplastic composition, method of producing the same, and articles made therefrom. The thermoplastic composition according to present invention comprises the melt blending product of: (A) from 55 to 95 percent by weight of a thermoplastic matrix comprising one or more thermoplastic polymers; and (B) from 5 to 45 percent by weight of a dispersed phase which comprises a crosslinked (meth)acrylate copolymer, wherein the (meth)acrylate copolymer comprises at least 95 percent by weight derived from methyl methacrylate units and from greater than zero to less than 0.5 percent by weight derived from one or more multifunctional cross-linking monomers and/or graft-linking agents; wherein the difference in refractive index between components (A) and (B) is greater than 0.08.

Films and polarizer plates made from the compositions are also provided.

Multi-stage polymer composition and films and polarizer plates made therefrom

The instant invention provides a thermoplastic composition, method of producing the same, and articles made therefrom. The thermoplastic composition according to present invention comprises the melt blending product of: (a) from 10 to 75 percent by weight of a continuous phase, based on the total weight of the thermoplastic composition, wherein said continuous phase comprises one or more thermoplastic polymers; and (b) from 25 to 90 percent by weight of a dispersed phase comprising one or more core/shell polymer particles, based on the total weight of the thermoplastic composition, wherein said one or more core/shell polymer particles comprise a crosslinked elastomer core and a thermoplastic shell and wherein said core/shell polymer has an average particle size diameter in the range of from 70 to 10,000 nm.
