A method for operating a storage and retrieval unit () is specified, in which a rail line ()/power-supply rail () is set to a risk-operation voltage when a risk posed by the storage and retrieval unit () is detected. In the storage and retrieval unit () the level of the voltage applied to the rail line ()/power-supply rail () is measured and a current path between the rail line ()/power-supply rail () and a drive motor () of the storage and retrieval unit () disconnected when the voltage measured is below a threshold value associated with a risk situation. The invention relates to a method for storing hanging goods () in an automated storage system (), comprising a stationary storage rack () with storing regions for the hanging goods () in storage levels () lying one above the other, and at least one goods transport device () having a base frame (), which is displaceable in a first direction in front of the storage rack (), and at least one storage and removal device () having a goods displacement means () which is displaceable relative to the base frame in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A method transfers unit loads to storage channels for storage by conveying the unit loads to the storage channels using a unit load receiving device movable along the storage channels in an x-direction and a transporter extendable into the storage channel in a z-direction. The transporter includes outer transport elements in opposite end sections and optionally an in-between inner transport element. The unit load is moved from the unit load receiving device into the storage channel up to an intermediate position using one transport element by moving the transporter in a first direction. The transporter is then moved to a second direction to position the other transport element behind a unit load side wall facing the unit load receiving device. The unit load is finally shifted in the storage channel from the intermediate to the second depth position using the other transport element by moving the transporter.

The transport vehicle comprises a base frame (), running wheels () which rest on a first guide () in a rollable manner, the first guide extending parallel with the longitudinal direction of the storage rack and in a first guide plane extending parallel with a driving plane, and a guide unit () which is mounted to the base frame via a bearing device () and has guide wheels () which rest on a second guide () and are rollable in guide sections (), the second guide extending parallel with the longitudinal direction of the storage rack and in a second guide plane intersecting the driving plane in order to move the transport vehicle in a guided manner. The bearing device comprises an elastic compensating element () which is arranged in such a way that one of the guide wheels is movable relative to the base frame. The invention further relates to a method for storing different unit loads on differently classified storage spaces.

A method and an arrangement for operating a storage and retrieval unit () are specified. A rail line () respectively a power supply rail () for the storage and retrieval unit () is set to a risk mode voltage, the rectified value/effective value of which lies below a minimum rectified value/minimum effective value necessary to move the storage and retrieval unit () but above zero, if a risk posed by the storage and retrieval unit () is detected. The invention relates to a rack storage system comprising a storage rack () with storage shelves () having storage spaces () for articles in rack stages () lying one above the other with a rack aisle () extending in between. Several guide tracks with first and second guide rails run along the rack aisle () (). First and second conveyor vehicles () can be moved on the guide tracks, each of the conveyor vehicles () having a drive motor () and an electronic control unit () and being controllable independently of one another. The first guide rail () is equipped with a first contact line arrangement () and the second guide rail () is equipped with a second contact line arrangement (), each of the contact line arrangements () comprising dedicated contact lines (). For energy and/or data supplying purposes, current collectors () of the first conveyor vehicle () contact the contact lines () of the first contact line arrangement () and current collectors () of the second conveyor vehicle () contact the contact lines () of the second contact line arrangement (). The first conveyor vehicle () and the second conveyor vehicle () can be moved simultaneously and independently of one another on the same conveying track.
