A filter package is provided with a support structure, a filter device having terminals, impedance matching circuits formed on the support structure and electrically connected to at least some of the terminals of the filter device, and at least one electrical ground structure electrically connected to the impedance matching circuits. Moreover, the filter package has an outer housing to contain the support structure, filter device impedance matching circuits, and at least one ground structure.

A wireless communications device includes an antenna, a multi-port path selection structure having an antenna port connected to the antenna, and plural ports connected to respective one or more receive and transmit paths of the wireless communications device. The multi-port path selection structure has a transmit band reject filter connected to the transmit path and a second filter connected to the receive path.

An input reference timing signal oscillator of a phase-locked loop has a computer algorithm which adaptively models the multiple frequencies of an oscillator following a training period. The oscillator is part of a phase-locked loop and the oscillation frequency thereof is controlled in response to the phase detector output. The computer algorithm processes the control signal applied to the oscillator. The computer algorithm updates the characteristics of the model relating to the aging and temperature of the oscillator, using for example, a Kalman filter as an adaptive filter. By the algorithm, the subsequent model predicts the future frequency state of the oscillator on which it was trained. The predicted frequency of the model functions as a reference to correct the frequency of the oscillator in the event that no input reference timing signal is available. With the model updating algorithm, oscillators of low stability performance may be used as cellular base station reference oscillator.

Sine and cosine weighting functions are applied to phase quadrature versions of an input signal to be phase shifted, and the weighted results are summed to provide a phase shifted output signal with an amplitude which is relatively independent of the phase shift. A weighting circuit comprises two translinear sine shaping circuits having differential current outputs providing weighting signals from input currents supplied thereto, the input currents of the two sine shaping circuits being offset relative to one another so that the differential current outputs of the two sine shaping circuits are provided in accordance with a sine function and a cosine function, respectively, of a control signal.
