The present invention provides a method and apparatus for tissue, such as an allograft, storage and preservation for extended periods of time at room temperature in a sterile tissue culture chamber. The invention further provides a process for maintaining the sterility of tissue using the apparatus as described.

Tissue preservation system

A hydrogel tissue engineering scaffold having microbubbles dispersed therein is disclosed. Also, a system for cell culturing including a controller and actuator to apply dynamic deformational loading to a hydrogel is disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for producing hydrogels with microbubbles and for culturing cells using hydrogels with microbubbles.

Microbubble devices, methods and systems

An automatic wet pet food dispenser and method are provided. The dispenser includes a cutting surface onto which at least one sealed container of wet pet food is securable. A cutting blade is contactable with and movable with respect to the container placed on the cutting surface to thereby cut open the container. When the blade cuts open the container, the wet pet food inside the container falls out. A container shaking mechanism shakes the container to facilitate the wet pet food falling out of the cut open container without substantially moving the container from the cutting surface. A logic and timing module is provided to enable programming of the dispenser in advance, and a communication module is provided to enable the dispenser to receive commands remotely from a pet owner and send messages to the pet owner confirming successful food deployment and eating.

Method and apparatus for automatically dispensing wet pet food

Implants for resurfacing or repairing one or more articular cartilage bearing surfaces of a biological organism include an engineered tissue and a biocompatible porous substrate secured to the engineered tissue for attaching the implant to a native bone of the biological organism. The engineered tissue includes a scaffold containing a biocompatible material, and a plurality of living chondrocytes supported by the scaffold. Methods for culturing chondrocytes for incorporation into a biocompatible implant are provided. A bioreactor for producing functional cartilaginous tissue from a cell-seeded scaffold and a system for producing functional cartilaginous tissue are also provided.
