A modular merchandise display system that is adaptable to accommodate various size products and shelves on which it is implemented. The modular merchandise display system includes a plurality of product pushing assemblies that are selectively connected to each other using adjustable connection devices. The selective connection of the product pushing assemblies provides the user with the ability to vary the size and spacing between product pushing assemblies and thereby enable the accommodation of products of varying size within the same merchandise display system. A break off system is also implemented into the respective parts of the display system to enable the depth of the system to be altered to accommodate shelves of varying depth.

Modular self-adjusting merchandise display system

A flow regulator for controlling the flow of material from a container is disclosed, wherein the container includes a container outlet through which the material freely flows when the container outlet is not closed. The flow regulator is biased in a closed position, but is moveable to an open position to provide for material flow from the container. The flow regulator may be progressively moved to permit varying degrees of material flow as the opening in the container is progressively opened. The flow regulator provides both a closure to obstruct material flow and a seal to preserve the container contents from outside contamination or degradation. The flow regulator is disclosed in combination with a bulk bin container to form a novel dispensing mechanism.

A surface mounted display device for serially stacked products, the display device including a first support member, a second support member and at least one divider member removably mounted between the two support members. The divider member has a web to which a pusher plate is movably attached. A guide arrangement is provided on the web for guiding the pusher plate. A spring biases the pusher plate toward one end of the display. Products are stacked between the pusher plate and the first support. When a product is removed, the pusher plate, being biased toward the first support member, advances the next product to the front of the display.

Merchandise display system

A merchandise display system for mounting on and to virtually any merchandise display frame, and in particular an existing gondola, having at least two horizontally spaced-apart mounting stanchions each having a plurality of apertures defined therein. The display system includes a universal mount with two universal brackets that are carried by a crossbar and that are selectively movable on and along the crossbar for alignment with the stanchion apertures. Once the universal brackets are so adjusted, the universal mount may be secured to the existing display frame by engaging the universal brackets with the aligned apertures. A frame assembly including a PEGBOARD.RTM. is then removably secured to the universal mount to complete the inventive merchandise display system. The configuration of the PEGBOARD.RTM. i.e., the size, spacing, and pattern of the holes in the PEGBOARD.RTM., may be varied as desired to accommodate different merchandise display configurations.

A flow regulator for controlling the flow of material from a container is disclosed, wherein the container includes a container outlet through which the material freely flows when the container outlet is not closed. The flow regulator includes a material passageway having an inlet. The inlet of the material passageway is moved relative to the container between a first position where the inlet of the material passageway is not aligned with the container outlet to prevent the free flow of material between the container and the material passageway and a second position where the inlet of the material passageway is aligned with the container outlet to permit the flow of material between the container and the material passageway. The regulator also includes a regulating flap, configured to substantially cover the container outlet, coupled between the container outlet and the inlet of the material passageway. The regulating flap is moved between a closed position where the flow of material from the container outlet is prevented when the container outlet and the inlet of the material passageway are out of alignment and an open position where the flow of material from the container outlet is permitted when the container outlet and the inlet of the material passageway are substantially aligned. In use, movement of the material passageway relative to the regulating flap controls actuation of the regulating flap between an open and a closed position.

A racking system exhibiting controlled compound movement is disclosed. The racking system includes a bracket adapted for engagement to a structural support and a translational tray assembly supported by the bracket for linear and rotational movement relative to the bracket. The system also includes a first dampening member associated with the translational tray assembly for dampening the linear movement of the translational tray assembly relative to the bracket and a second dampening member associated with the translational tray assembly for dampening the rotational movement of the translational tray assembly relative to the bracket. The first and second dampening members ensure smooth, controlled motion as the translational tray assembly is rotationally and linearly moved.

A bracket assembly for mounting a shelf having a grooved surface to a supporting structure. The bracket assembly includes a frame having a support portion which defines a slot for receiving an edge of the shelf. The frame includes at least one attachment leg for securing the frame to the supporting structure. A base plate mountable to the support portion of the frame is provided and includes a hook which seats within the groove when the shelf is inserted in the slot. An arm moveable between a first position and a second position is connected to the hook for releasing the hook from the groove when the arm is urged to the second position.
