A spinal fixation system includes an interbody and a plate. The interbody defines at least one locking aperture. The plate includes a front surface, a back surface, and at least one locking projection extending from the back surface. The at least one locking projection is removably engaged with the at least one locking aperture such that the plate is removably coupled to the interbody.

A bone plate assembly includes a bone plate and a rotatable lock. The bone plate includes a superior surface, an inferior surface, and at least one screw through-hole that is configured to receive a bone screw. The bone plate includes a locking cavity that defined in the superior surface. The locking cavity includes a bottom surface that is recessed relative to the superior surface, and also includes a post that extends upwards from the bottom surface. The rotatable lock is supported on the post such that the rotatable lock is at least partially within the locking cavity.

Provided are modular implant delivery systems, devices and methods. In some embodiments, spinal implant delivery devices and methods are provided. An exemplary delivery device may include a head supported by a handle. The head may have an opening defining an insertion axis. The handle may have a handle axis that traverses the insertion axis. Provided herein are variably flexible (i.e., variably stiff) metal alloys and methods of making the variably flexible (i.e., variably stiff) metal alloys. A variably flexible (i.e., variably stiff) metal alloy is a metal alloy that has areas of differing flexibility (i.e., stiffness, rigidity or elasticity) along a length of the metal alloy when the metal alloy is subjected to a load in use. Also provided herein are methods of making variably flexible (i.e., variably stiff) metal alloys and products including casting a metal alloy and selectively heat treating portions of the metal alloy to achieve predetermined stiffnesses in those portions.

Disclosed are improved spinal implants that are configured to help prevent post-operative migration of the implant. In some embodiments, the implant system includes multi-axial tooth geometry and other geometrical configurations such as but not limited to peripheral curvatures that aid in the prevention of such post-operative migration. Also disclosed are asymmetrical implants having superior and inferior surfaces with different angulations relative to the sagittal midline.

A bone plate holder apparatus having a hollow shaft, two or more prongs at a working end, and a rod slidingly disposed within the shaft can be attached with a bone plate such that the prongs interact with a fenestration in the bone plate. When the rod is depressed between the prongs, working surfaces of the prongs grip the interior surfaces of the fenestration, causing the bone plate holder apparatus to lock to the bone plate. Bone plate holder systems including a bone plate holder apparatus and bone plate can be used to install a bone plate in a surgical site in a patient, and the locking and unlocking functionality of the bone plate holder apparatus can permit adjustment of an angle of the bone plate holder apparatus relative to the bone plate with ease during surgery.

Systems for improved methods of performing a spinal fusion procedure that include an implant having an alignment guide system. The alignment guide system may include one or more guide lines configured to provide a visual indication when the implant is properly aligned within the disc space. In some embodiments, the system includes one or more tamp levelers that also aid with the proper alignment of the implant within the disc space.

An intervertebral implant for supporting vertebrae that includes an anterior end element, a posterior end element, and four wings disposed between the anterior end element and the posterior end element. The four wings and the anterior and posterior end elements define a substantially open central space. The wings are arranged in pairs facing in opposed directions and include teeth facing in those opposed directions for gripping substantially planar surfaces at opposite sides of the implant.

The monorail instrument may be a distractor, and may include flutes for preparation of the disc space.
