An assembly of two components configured to be in contact with hydrocarbons, and a fuel tank including the assembly. The assembly includes a casing or a retaining member fastened to the casing, each of the two components including at least one fastening part configured to interact, and at least one of the components being made from a material configured to swell through action of the hydrocarbons, thus reinforcing retention of the components on one another. A method for manufacturing such a tank includes assembling the two components in the absence of fuel, and then bringing the two components into contact with the fuel.

Motor vehicle fuel tank

The invention concerns a motor vehicle fuel tank () comprising a fuel reserve chamber () further comprising a suction device supplied with fuel coming directly from a fuel filter and adapted to suck up fuel in at least a low suction point outside the chamber (), and in delivering it into the chamber () at least in a high delivery point, located above the desired minimum level of fuel in the tank () and higher than the low suction point.

A fuel tank comprises a shell made by assembling together at least two tank portions each made by molding a thermoplastic material and, when assembled together, defining the inside surface of the tank. The tank has a fuel pump fixed to its inside surface before the tank portions are assembled together.
