A structure for hiding rooftop equipment has a plurality of pre-cut, adjustable metallic frame and support members essentially consisting of vertical support members, horizontal frame members, top frame members, and bottom retaining members, wherein the plurality of pre-cut, adjustable metallic frame and support members are configured to surround the rooftop equipment while providing a passageway enabling a user to provide maintenance on the rooftop equipment, and, each bottom retaining member is comprised of a base portion, a reinforcement member, and a connecting member wherein the connecting member is mechanically fastened either to an existing roof curb forming part of the building the structure is on or to a base portion of the rooftop equipment.

Structure for hiding and protecting from damage HVAC and other rooftop mechanical equipment

A hydraulic turbine has a runner blade bolted to a hollow runner hub. The runner blade has a flange that mates with a corresponding recess on the hub. Bolting connections pass through complementary array like patterns of apertures spread across and in the hub and blade flange to attach the blades to the hub.

A hydraulic turbine has a runner blade fixedly mounted to a runner hub. The runner blade has a mounting flange having a generally rectangular shape held in contact with a complementary generally rectangular shaped outside surface portion of the runner hub. The complementary rectangular shapes increases surface contact area between the blade mounting flange and the hub over that of circular shaped flanges and thereby reduces the stress levels between the blade flange and the hub. Further, the surface contact area between the blade mounting flange and the blade root is increased to thereby reduce the stress level in the blade root fillets.
