A method for accessing, using an authentication system, an application server within an enterprise network is disclosed. The method comprises retrieving an authentication message comprising a user name, wherein the authentication system is associated with the application server. The method comprises determining that a login account is not stored in a data store of the authentication system, wherein the login account is associated with a user identification and comprises a user name that matches the user name of the authentication message. The method comprises retrieving a login account from a user data store to generate a login account in the data store associated with the authentication system, wherein the login account is associated with the user name. The method comprises authenticating the user name with the login account. The method comprises providing to a user associated with the user name, access based on the authentication to the project server.

Methods and systems of using single sign-on for identification for a web server not integrated with an enterprise network

Subject matter described herein relates to providing to a mobile device a version of content (e.g., music, video, text message, live call, etc.) that is consistent with a user's filter setting. That is, a user is allowed to specify content elements (e.g., words or images) that are proscribed from being presented on the mobile device, and the user's preferences are stored by a mobile telecommunications network. When the network receives content to be provided to the mobile device, the network edits the content in real time to prevent proscribed elements from being presented on the mobile device.

The adjustable camera can tilt, pan, change focus, and the like to maintain a region of interest within a viewing angle of the camera.

A method, system, and medium are provided for formatting video frames such that a region of interest is emphasized and the video frames can be encoded, communicated, and rendered without excessive processing burdens. A region of interest is identified in a video frame and a feature mask is created that represents the region of interest. The feature mask can be used to crop the video frame to remove background images that are not within the region of interest and the cropped video frame can be overlayed on a simulated background before being encoded and communicated to a display device.

Videos from a plurality of sources for one or more subjective feedback targets are randomly selected. The selected videos with a video processing technology are processed, such that the selected videos include at least one impairment. Subjective feedback is received from the one or more subjective feedback targets regarding a perceptional aspect of the selected videos.

A digital rights management (DRM) method is negotiated prior to initiating delivery of a DRM encoded content item over a digital network between a client and a target server. The client identifies a link to the target server for accessing the DRM encoded content item. The client initiates a network session with the target server. The client sends an offer message to the target server containing a list of at least one supported DRM method. The target server sends an answer message to the client containing a corresponding list 1) indicating whether each DRM method listed in the to offer message is supported by the target server, and 2) providing a network address of a DRM license server for each supported DRM method. The client selects a supported DRM method. The client obtains a DRM license using the network address listed for the selected DRM method. The target server delivers the DRM encoded content item to the client using the selected DRM method.

The client identifies a link to the target server for accessing the DRM encoded content item. The client initiates a network session with the target server. Text-to-speech streaming data is output to an end user using a distributed network based message processing system. The distributed network system includes a user access server that controls access of registered users to the data retrieval system. An internetwork data retrieval system server retrieves raw data from an internetwork. A text-to-speech server converts the raw data to an audible speech data. A memory storage output device stores a streaming media file containing the audible speech data and a streaming media server transmits the audible speech data to the registered users via the internetwork.

Distributed network based message processing system for text-to-speech streaming data

Computer peers located behind respective firewalls create special network sessions with a central mediator/translator or socket welder so that the peers can run applications that utilize the transmission of unsolicited data packets to each other through their respective firewalls. For example, two home networking users can dynamically connect to each other for the purpose of exchanging real-time data or communications, or a mobile enterprise user can access, in real-time, firewalled computing resources while the mobile user is outside of the firewalled enterprise environment. The firewall is maintained unaltered for continued protection from unauthorized network traffic while achieving an inexpensive and very secure system for splicing together multiple, firewall-compliant network sessions via the socket welder.

Splicing of TCP/UDP sessions in a firewalled network environment

A client is authenticated to a network resource wherein the client is coupled to a biometric sensor. The client signals a request to the network resource (e.g., by connecting to an access point). The network resource initiates a point-to-point LAN authentication protocol between the network resource and the client. The network resource requests biometric data from the client via the LAN authentication protocol (optionally either before or after authenticating with other credentials). The client captures biometric data of an attendant user of the client. The client transmits the captured biometric data to the network resource via the LAN authentication protocol. The network resource encapsulates the biometric data in the LAN authentication protocol into an authentication server protocol and forwards the encapsulated biometric data to an authentication server. The authentication server compares the biometric data to a biometric template stored in conjunction with the authentication server for making a determination whether the attendant user should be granted access to the network resource. The authentication server sends either an access-accept message or an access-deny message in the authentication server protocol to the network resource in response to the determination. The network resource grants access to the client only after receiving an access-accept message.

Biometric authentication of a client network connection

A client connected to a network switch is continuously authenticated to a network switch by using biometrics, wherein the client and the network switch exchange Ethernet/802.3 frames associated with a client application, and wherein the client and the network switch are coupled by a full-duplex Ethernet/802.3 communication channel. A biometric data sample of a user of the client is captured. Biometric data is encapsulated in an authentication protocol message frame. The authentication protocol message frame is separated into a sequence of a plurality of fragments, each fragment having a predetermined number of bytes. Respective sequence numbers are assigned to each of the fragments. Each of the fragments is inserted with its respective sequence number in a respective preamble of a respective one of a plurality of Ethernet/802.3 frames associated with the client application that are being transmitted from the client to the network switch.
