An electrical system comprises a flexible circuit (FC) comprising at least one conductive circuit trace disposed within or between one or more dielectric layers and defining at least one exposed conductive circuit trace portion, an electrical device system comprising an electrical device disposed within a housing and at least one conductive terminal electrically connected to the electrical device and that extend substantially to an end of the housing, and an electrical connector configured to physically secure and electrically connect the at least one exposed conductive circuit trace portion to the at least one conductive terminal of the electrical device system, wherein the electrical connector and the housing of the electrical device system define at least one connection feature for physically securing to each other.

Direct device electrical connection to flexible circuits or other conductors

A connector assembly includes a female connector body and a male connector body defining a shroud configured to receive the female connector body. The electrical connector assembly further includes a resilient seal axially surrounding a portion of the female connector body. The seal is disposed intermediate the female connector body and the shroud. The connector assembly additionally includes a seal retainer attached to the female connector body. The female connector body defines an outwardly extending retaining ledge on the forward portion of the female connector body. The seal defines an inwardly extending retaining hook engaging the retaining ledge. A portion of the retaining hook is disposed intermediate the female connector body and the seal retainer.

Sealed connector assembly

A seal that is configured to engage an elongate element, such as a wire cable, and a cavity wall is presented. The seal includes a seal body that is formed of a compliant material such as a silicone rubber. The seal has an outer surface that engages the cavity surface. The seal body defines a gallery extending therethrough and surrounded by an inner surface of the seal body. The seal body has a forward surface extending from a forward edge of the outer surface to a forward edge of the inner surface and a rearward surface extending from a rearward edge of the outer surface to a rearward edge of the inner surface. The seal further includes a support element formed of a rigid material, such as glass filled polyester or NYLON, extending through the seal body in a direction substantially parallel to the inner surface.

Sealed electrical connector assembly and wire seal

An electrical connector system including a male connector having a male terminal that defines a first blade longitudinally projecting from the male terminal and a second blade longitudinally projecting from the same male terminal. A first blade width is less than a second blade width and a first blade length is less than a second blade length. The male terminal further defines a pair of crimp wings configured to attach the male terminal to a wire cable. The system further includes a female connector having a first female terminal configured to receive the first blade and a second female terminal configured to receive the second blade, thereby electrically interconnecting the first female terminal, the second female terminal, and the wire cable.
