A vibratory apparatus includes a deck assembly with a longitudinal axis, an inlet end, and an outlet end. The deck assembly includes a plurality of deck sections each having a plurality of openings. Each deck section has upstream and downstream edges, the downstream edge of each successive deck section disposed closer longitudinally to the outlet end than the downstream edge of each preceding deck section. The upstream edge of each successive deck section is disposed closer longitudinally to the upstream edge of each preceding deck section than the downstream edge of the preceding deck section is disposed to the upstream edge of the preceding deck section, thereby defining an overlapping portion of the preceding deck section and a non-overlapping portion of the preceding deck section. The overlapping portion has larger openings than the non-overlapping portion for each preceding deck section.

Vibratory apparatus with multiple screening decks

A vibratory apparatus including a trough having one or more decks, with an inlet end and an outlet end, a first plurality of isolation springs disposed between the trough and ground, and a two-mass, sub-resonant frequency exciter supported on the trough. The trough and the exciter move 180-degrees out of phase with each other. The apparatus also includes a dynamic balancer including a plurality of isolation springs disposed between the exciter and ground.

A vibratory apparatus includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall and at least one pair of mated interior walls, the first sidewall, the second sidewall and the at least one pair of mated interior walls depending longitudinally between an inlet end and an outlet end. The at least one pair of mated interior walls is disposed laterally between the first and second sidewalls. At least one deck depends between the first and second sidewalls, and is divided into longitudinally depending sections by the at least one pair of mated interior walls. The apparatus also includes an exciter coupled to the at least one deck.

Vibratory apparatus with transport and assembly method

A bidirectional vibratory feeder for transporting objects in a curved path has a trough assembly including an elongated, generally horizontal bed defining the curved path, and a center of gravity. Resilient isolators are connected to the trough assembly and adapted to isolate the trough assembly from underlying terrain. An exciter mass assembly includes an exciter frame and a vibration generator coupled to the exciter frame for generating vibratory forces, the exciter mass assembly having a center of gravity. At least one horizontally disposed resilient coupling is connected between the exciter mass assembly and the trough assembly, and at least one vertically disposed link is connected between the exciter mass assembly and the trough assembly. The vibratory forces generated by the vibration generator include a vertical component directed along a substantially vertical path that passes through a combined center of gravity of the trough assembly and the exciter mass assembly that is transferred by the at least one vertically disposed link to cause each point on the trough assembly to translate vertically upward. The vibratory forces also include a horizontal component that is transferred by the at least one horizontally disposed resilient coupling to cause each point on the trough assembly to rotate along a path lying on an arc of a circle in a horizontal plane. The vibration generator is operable in at least first and second modes, wherein, in the first mode, the horizontal component of the vibratory forces is directed along a first linear path displaced from the combined center of gravity to advance the objects in a first direction along the curved path and, in the second mode, the horizontal component of the vibratory forces is directed along a second linear path displaced from the combined center of gravity to advance the objects in a second, generally opposite direction along the curved path.
