A computer-implemented method implemented by one or more processors for assessing accident events, the computer-implemented method including: determining, based on first sensor data captured by one or more first sensors associated with a first vehicle, that an accident event occurred; and after determining that the accident event occurred: sending, to an electronic device associated with a second vehicle, a request for second sensor data captured by one or more second sensors of the electronic device associated with the second vehicle; receiving, from the electronic device, the second sensor data; analyzing the second sensor data to determine that the second sensor data is related to the accident event; and aggregating the first sensor data with the second sensor data. Method and system for selecting a vehicle route. For example, the method includes collecting information for a future vehicle trip that will be made by a user, generating multiple routes for the same future vehicle trip, predicting an amount of fuel consumption for each of the multiple routes based at least in part upon information for the route and user driving features of the user, and selecting a route from the multiple routes based at least in part upon the amounts of fuel consumption predicted for the user, where the selected route corresponds to a least amount among the amounts of fuel consumption predicted for the user.

Systems and methods for selecting vehicle routes

A smart ring charging system comprises a charging source integrated into an object, the object configured to be held by a user wearing a smart ring. The smart ring may include a ring-shaped housing and a power source disposed within or at the ring-shaped housing and configured to receive energy from the charging source while the user is wearing the smart ring and holding the object. A controller may be disposed within or at the ring-shaped housing, or at the object with the charger and configured to estimate a charging rate at which the power source receives the energy from the charging source. The system may further include one or more indicators configured to indicate the charging rate.

Systems and methods of utilizing badging for driver risk assessment are provided. Vehicle telematics data (e.g., speed data, acceleration data, braking data, cornering data, following distance data, turn signal data, seatbelt use data) associated with a vehicle operator may be analyzed. Based on the analysis, a trend of safe operation of the vehicle may be identified (e.g., based on a number of vehicle trips and/or a number of consecutive vehicle trips in which the vehicle telematics data indicates safe operation of the vehicle, a frequency of vehicle trips in which the vehicle telematics data indicates safe operation of the vehicle, a comparison to other drivers, etc.) A digital certificate indicating the trend of safe operation of the vehicle may be associated with the vehicle operator. In response to a third-party query regarding the vehicle operator, the digital certificate associated with the vehicle operator may be displayed to the third party.

System and method of badging for driver risk assessment

Systems and methods of incentivizing the use of a safety device while operating a vehicle are provided. Data captured by sensors associated with a safety device may be analyzed to identify instances in which the safety device is used by an operator of a vehicle. Additionally, data captured by sensors associated with the vehicle may be analyzed to identify instances in which the vehicle is in motion. By comparing the instances in which the safety device is used by the operator of the vehicle to the instances in which the vehicle is in motion, instances in which the operator of the vehicle uses the safety device while operating the vehicle may be determined. Furthermore, a trend of the operator of the vehicle using the safety device while operating the vehicle may be identified. A notification related to the identified trend may be provided to the operator of the vehicle.

Systems and methods for incentivizing use of safety device

Techniques for using dynamic comparison groups to assess driving safety are provided. Customizable comparison groups of vehicle operator's may be created based upon specific parameters. Drivers belonging to each specific comparison group may be ranked among one another based upon a comparison of telematics data that is associated with each vehicle, which may indicate various metrics associated with each driver's driving safety. By providing each driver's ranking within comparison groups, a gamified interface and user interaction is achieved, which promotes competition and acts as an incentive for the drivers to drive safer and avoid risk. Additional incentives may be provided in the form of automobile insurance premium discounts and recommendations for improving the driver's ranking.

A smart ring charging system comprises one or more permanent magnets and a smart ring. The smart ring includes a ring-shaped housing, a power source disposed within the ring- shaped housing, and a charging circuit. The charging circuit includes an induction coil, and is configured to charge the power source when user motion changes magnetic flux from the one or more permanent magnets through the induction coil. The smart ring further includes a component, disposed within the ring-shaped housing and configured to draw energy from the power source, and further configured to perform one or more of the following operations: i) sense a physical phenomenon external to the ring-shaped housing, ii) send communication signals to a communication device external to the ring-shaped housing, and iii) implement a user interface.

The methods and/or systems may receive driving data indicative of vehicle performance based on DAS operation of the vehicle during a time period; select a portion of the driving data related to at least one performance metric of the DAS operated vehicle during the time period; receive historical DAS performance data that includes at least one performance metric of a vehicle-type of DAS operated vehicle that includes the vehicle; analyze the selected portion of the driving data during the time period with the historical DAS performance data; calculate a DAS score for the vehicle based on the analysis of the selected portion of the driving data during the time period with the historical DAS performance data of the vehicle type; and adjust DAS operation of the vehicle based on the calculated DAS score for the vehicle.

Systems and methods for providing continuous safe-driver training safely are provided. A safe-driving challenge may be presented to an operator of a vehicle. Data captured by sensors associated with the vehicle may be analyzed to determine whether the operator of the vehicle has completed the safe-driving challenge. Based on a determination that the operator of the vehicle has completed the safe-driving challenge, a notification may be provided to the operator (e.g., indicating to the operator that he or she has successfully completed the challenge). A processor may randomly select whether a reward is to be provided to the operator of the vehicle based on the determination that the operator of the vehicle has completed the safe-driving challenge. Moreover, if a reward is to be provided to the operator of the vehicle, a processor may randomly select a type of reward to be provided to the operator of the vehicle.

System and method for low-level continuous driver training

Systems and methods for reducing vehicle collisions based on driver risk groups are provided. A plurality of vehicle operators may be classified into a driver risk group based on one or more attributes (e.g., location, workplace, school, demographic, hobby, interest, etc.) shared by the plurality of vehicle operators. Vehicle sensor data (e.g., speed data, acceleration data, braking data, cornering data, following distance data, turn signal data, seatbelt use data, etc.) associated with each of the plurality of vehicle operators of the driver risk group may be analyzed. Based on the analysis of the vehicle sensor data, one or more indicia of safe driving behavior associated with the driver risk group may be identified. In response to a third-party query regarding a vehicle operator in the driver risk group, an indication of the safe driving behavior associated with the driver risk group may be provided to the third party.

System and method of reducing vehicle collisions based on driver risk groups

Systems and methods for assessing accident events are disclosed According to certain aspects, an electronic device may access sensor data associated with operation of a vehicle, and analyze the sensor data to determine that an accident event has occurred. In response, the electronic device may dynamically and automatically retrieve additional sensor data from at least one additional electronic device via a short range communication. The electronic device may compile or aggregate the additional sensor data with the original sensor data to provide a thorough representation of the accident event.
