An assembly includes an instrument panel and a base rotatably mounted to the instrument panel between a front position and a stowed position. An interior component is supported by the base. A spring biases the base toward the stowed position.

Interior vehicle component

A vehicle seat includes a frame member including an outer wall and an inner wall, the outer wall and the inner wall defining a cavity therebetween and a side airbag supported by the frame member in the cavity, wherein the outer wall extends along an outboard angle relative to a seat-forward direction and the side airbag is inflatable to an inflated position extending along the outboard angle.

Vehicle seat

A system includes a seat frame member, an airbag disposed outboard of the seat frame member, an inflator disposed inboard of the seat frame member, and a bracket extending through the seat frame member. The bracket includes an upper portion and a lower portion spaced from each other and disposed inboard of the seat frame member, and an intermediate portion extending from the upper portion to the lower portion and disposed outboard of the seat frame member. The bracket supports the inflator and the airbag.

Vehicle seat side airbag bracket

A seat assembly includes a base. The seat assembly includes an air bag supported by the base. The seat assembly includes a cover adjacent the base. The seat assembly includes a first plurality of ribs extending transversely from the cover and toward the base. The seat assembly includes a second plurality of ribs extending transversely from the base and toward the cover.

Vehicle seat side air bag assembly

A vehicle seat includes a frame, a cover, and a seat side airbag assembly. The seat side airbag assembly includes a chute mounted to the frame and extending to the cover. An airbag is fixed to the chute, with the chute extending between the airbag and the cover. The chute is attached to the cover.

An airbag includes a first panel having a perimeter, and a second panel connected to the first panel along the perimeter of the first panel. The first panel and the second panel define an inflation chamber between the first and second panels. The first panel has a tab extending from the perimeter of the first panel and transverse to the perimeter of the first panel. The tab is connected to the second panel. A vent on the tab is in communication with the inflation chamber.

Side airbag including forward facing vent

A vehicle seat and integrated side impact protection system includes a seat bottom, a seat back movably attached to the seat bottom, and a fold-flat mechanism within a lower portion of the seat back for permitting movement of the seat back between a seating configuration and a fold-flat configuration. An airbag module is located within an upper portion of the seat back adjacent the outboard side thereof and includes a side airbag and an inflator supplying inflation gasses. A lap belt extends between inboard and outboard sides of the seat and has an inflatable portion adjacent the outboard side of the seat. A gas conduit extends between the airbag module and the lap belt for conducting gasses released by the inflator to the inflatable portion of the lap belt. The gas conduit has a flexible portion permitting folding movement of the seat back.
