Surgical visualization systems and related methods are disclosed herein, e.g., for providing visualization during surgical procedures. Systems and methods herein can be used in a wide range of surgical procedures, including spinal surgeries such as minimally-invasive fusion or discectomy procedures. Systems and methods herein can include various features for enhancing end user experience, improving clinical outcomes, or reducing the invasiveness of a surgery. Exemplary features can include access port integration, hands-free operation, active and/or passive lens cleaning, adjustable camera depth, and many others.

Surgical visualization systems and related methods

Various spinal plating systems for use in treating spinal pathologies are provided. In certain exemplary embodiments, the spinal plating systems can be configured to allow a surgeon to select a bone screw construct having a particular range of motion for attaching a spinal plate to bone as needed based on the intended use. In one exemplary embodiment, the spinal plating system includes a first bone screw that is polyaxially movable relative to the spinal plate, and a second bone screw that has a range of motion that is substantially limited to a single plane.

Hybrid spinal plates

A bone screw includes a main body having a proximal end and a distal end. The main body extends along a longitudinal axis. The main body has an externally threaded surface that includes at least one helically extending thread having a minor diameter and a major diameter, which major diameter is greater than the minor diameter. The thread includes at least two flank surfaces extending between the minor diameter and the major diameter. The minor diameter of the thread defines a central portion of the main body. The thread may include at least one aperture that extends along an aperture axis through the thread between the flank surfaces.

Bone screw with apertures

A skin surface electrical stimulation device or electrode for use in the treatment of various conditions. The electrode has a plurality of conductive regions spaced from one another in predetermined positions around a non-conductive body that extends longitudinally from a head portion to a tail portion. At least two posterior conductors are positioned in the tail portion and spaced laterally from each other. One or more anterior conductors are positioned in the head portion and spaced longitudinally from the respective posterior conductors. An opening extends longitudinally rearwardly from an intermediate position in the body to split the tail portion into right and left portions. The electrode device is configured for placement proximate perineal area in an individual or animal for delivery of treatment via generating an electrical charge through respective conductors.

Electrical stimulation device

A skin surface electrode used in the treatment of incontinence. The electrode has one or more conductive regions and an egress through which bodily fluid may pass without substantially adversely affecting tissue contact in the conductive regions of the electrode. The electrode is configured for placement proximate a patient's perineal tissues. An incontinence treatment system includes an electrode, wearable signal generator and interface module.

Device to treat incontinence

Bone screws and bone plates are provided that offer the surgeon the ability to either assemble the screws to the plate, or the plate to the screws, depending on the surgeon's preference and the patient's circumstances. The bone screws and bone plates of the present invention include a combination of geometric configurations that allow the screws and plates to fit together from different assembly directions. Additionally, the bone screws and bone plates can include material resilience features to allow expansion/contraction during assembly to allow bidirectional attachment to one another.

Instruments and methods are provided for manipulating a bone anchor and a spinal fixation element. The instruments and methods disclosed herein are particularly suited to facilitate rotation of a bone anchor relative to another bone to correct the angular rotation of the vertebrae attached to the bone anchor. The instrument does not require the spinal fixation element to be inserted into the bone anchor prior to manipulation. The instrument further may be used in the insertion of the spinal fixation element into the bone anchor.

Derotation instrument with reduction functionality

A bone plate system including a bone plate and a bone screw with an integrated locking mechanism is disclosed. The bone screw includes an elongate member having a threaded shank and a bone screw head that is radially deformable. The integrated locking mechanism sits within the bone screw head and can rotate between a locked condition and an unlocked condition. When the bone screw head is seated within an aperture in the bone plate, rotating the integrated locking mechanism into the locked condition helps to prevent bone screw backout.

A bone adhesive application device has a pliable structure with an application surface upon which a bone adhesive may be applied. The application surface has a surface energy substantially equal to or less than a surface energy of the bone adhesive to reduce adhesion between the bone adhesive and the bone adhesive application device. The bone adhesive application device may be included in a kit for repairing bone defects having a bone adhesive formed from a reactive biocompatible polyurethane material. The bone adhesive may be applied to a bone defect by positioning the pliable structure over at least a portion of the bone defect, delivering the bone adhesive to the bone defect and removing the pliable structure from the bone adhesive.

Method and device for handling bone adhesives

The disclosed embodiments provide a system including an implant assembly and an instrument configured to work in conjunction to manipulate vertebral bodies to affect derotation. The implant assemblies include a removable attachment element that allows for the attachment of the instrument. The instrument is configured to attach to two implant assemblies that have been inserted bilaterally into a vertebral body. When the instrument is attached to the implant assemblies, forces applied to the instrument are translated and transferred to the implant assemblies and the vertebral body into which the implant assemblies have been inserted thereby providing a rotational force on the vertebral body.
