An electric power supply network includes at least one connection point with an upstream electrical network delivering useful power to at least one input of a first electric power supply network of an electrically powered transport system, such as trolley buses, trams, metro, train, or other transport, the first electrical network presenting peak power fluctuations as a function of variable energy needs depending on traffic associated with the transport system. The first electrical network includes at least one power output capable of distributing energy, in particular recovered from the transport system and from the upstream electrical network, to at least a second electrical network, enabling energy to be supplied to electrical consumption points. At least one supervision unit monitors distribution of energy from the power output whenever at least the peak power required by the first transport system is below the useful power available upstream.

Electric power supply network linked to a transport system

A method of adjusting the power absorbed by at least one vehicle powered by at least one electrical energy storage unit and one electrical network on the ground providing the vehicle with at least one inrush current necessary for starting up the vehicle, includes adjusting the inrush current, before and at least during the starting-up of the vehicle, to a constant mean value and keeping variations of the inrush current around the mean value to a minimum by controlling at least one variable supply of compensating energy from the energy storage unit of the vehicle. A computer for implementing the method is also provided.

Method of adjusting power absorbed by at least one electrically powered vehicle

A vehicle is supplied by a first electrical energy storage unit on board the vehicle, and a ground electrical network providing an energy supply by application of a supply voltage through electrical distribution. The first energy storage unit is controllable under a generator regime or a receiver regime. The supply voltage is adjusted, in the generator regime, by applying an algebraically additive supply voltage originating from the first electrical storage unit to the distribution, to maintain a supply voltage above a minimum threshold. In the receiver regime, if a surplus of supply voltage originating at least partially from a second storage unit in the generator regime is detected above the minimum threshold, this surplus is channeled energetically to the first energy storage unit of the vehicle if it is required for operating the vehicle and enables maintaining the supply voltage below a maximum threshold and above the minimum threshold.

Method of adjusting the electrical supply voltage for the operation of at least one electrically powered vehicle

The invention relates to a power adjustment system adapted for powering an electric line for supplying power to vehicles moving in a traffic lane combined with said electric line that comprises an electric supply feeder (AD) delivering an average electric power directly or via at least one converter to the electric line, and an adjustable power based on power fluctuation and required for an instantaneous traffic intensity to an energy storage means (MS) capable of powering the electric line at a peak power via at least one other converter, characterised in that a dimensioning unit (PCC) receives information on the power needs based on the traffic intensity evaluated over at least one duration of said traffic, and in that the dimensioning unit uses information for controlling an adjustment of the useful predictable storage of the storage means so that the electric power (P_IN, P_IN) delivered to the storage means is adjusted and minimal while exactly maintaining a sufficient energy backup in the storage means for compensating for any peak power (P_INST) instantaneously required by the traffic in the given duration.

Power adjustment system adapted for powering an electric line for supplying power to vehicles

A system of assembling storage devices in the form of electrical energy modules includes two pairs of positive and negative terminals for each module, in which each of the pairs of positive and negative terminals is distributed over at least one of the external faces of each module, thus forming a terminal strip of the module. At least one interconnection block can be inserted onto part of each of the terminal strips of two separate modules and itself includes at least two pairs of anchoring points so as to form an assembly block, either by stacking the storage modules or by juxtaposing the same. At least two anchoring points of each interconnection block are in electrical contact, while stiffening the assembly, in a manner complementary to the other anchoring points.

System for assembling electrical energy modules

An energy-regulating system for a vehicle, suitable for use in a mass transportation system between a departure station and an arrival station along a predetermined route, has advantageously a high-power electrical storage device placed on board the vehicle, supplying power to the vehicle, at least during acceleration. The energy recovered during braking of the vehicle is stored in the storage device. At least the departure station includes an electrical charging area capable of charging the storage device of the vehicle and activated in a charging mode as soon as the residual energy of the storage device of the vehicle is below a variable threshold dependent on an early estimate of the energy balance of the vehicle at least up to the arrival station.
