An X-ray emission device and a method of assembly of the device having a casing with a window and an X-ray tube place in the casing. The tube comprises an anode assembly equipped with an anode, a cathode assembly equipped with a cathode and an envelope containing the anode and the cathode. The longitudinal positioning of the X-ray tube in the casing is produced on the anode side. The angular positioning of the X-ray tube in the casing on a longitudinal axis is produced on the anode side. A bayonet on the casing fastens a rotation axis support for the anode. The cathode is fixed in an angular position predetermined in relation to the bayonet by pins.

X-ray emission device comprising a casing opened by a window and an X-ray tube placed in the casing, the tube comprising an anode assembly equipped with an anode, a cathode assembly equipped with a cathode and an envelope containing the anode and the cathode, the anode assembly including a means of longitudinal positioning of the tube in the casing and the cathode assembly including a means of angular positioning of the tube in the casing on a longitudinal axis.

A thermal energy transfer device for use with an x-ray generating device or x-ray system including an anode assembly having a target, a cathode assembly positioned at a distance from the anode assembly configured to emit electrons that strike the target producing x-rays and residual energy in the form of heat, and a rotatable shaft supported by a bearing assembly. The thermal energy transfer device including a thermal gradient device positioned adjacent to and in thermal communication with one end of the shaft, the thermal gradient device operable for transferring heat away from that end of the shaft, and a fin structure positioned adjacent to and in thermal communication with the thermal gradient device, the fin structure operable for convectively cooling the thermal gradient device.
