Multimedia album publication to media server

In some examples, a client device receives, from a network-attached storage (NAS) system, installer code. Executing the installer code at the client device causes display of a user interface at the client device. Questions are presented in the user interface at the client device. Responsive to answers to the questions received in the user interface, the installer code executing at the client device installs a subset of software components relating to the NAS system the client device.

A device for optically coupling two photonic elements may comprise an interposer where each photonic element is axially aligned with an optical pathway in the interposer. Also included is an optics assembly configured to direct a photonic signal along the optical pathway; and a mechanical guide assembly configured to reduce the relative tilt and rotation of photonic elements. Another such device may comprise two connectors where each connector comprises an optical pathway element in which an optics assembly is situated and a photonic element aligned with the optical pathway element. A mechanical guide assembly secures the optical pathway elements in a position so as to reduce the relative tilt and rotation of the photonic elements. A connection for optically coupling two computing units can comprise a partition situated between the computing units and on which an interposer is mounted.

Device for optically coupling photonic elements

A method for connecting adjacent computing board devices. A source computing board may be provided. An optical engine attaches to the source computing board. A plurality of source optical connectors couples to the optical engine. A first optical connector may be positioned at a location on the source computing board for a first preset type of computing component on an adjacent computing board. A second optical connector may be positioned at a fixed coordinate related to the first optical connector on the source computing board.

A data processing system includes a file system manager that organizes content into albums using a tagging technique. The file system manager comprises a filename utility that sets a unique filename for each file of uploaded files across a plurality of albums and an album manager utility that manages an album according to a list of tags. The tags include unique content file references and content metadata, whereby a file instance in a cross-section of the tags is included in multiple albums.

Installer code is received from a network attached storage (NAS) system at a client device. The installer code executing at the client device performs a selected subset of administrative tasks at the client device, where the administrative tasks are tasks associated with the NAS system. The selected subset of administrative tasks includes installing a backup software component.

The system () provides a photonic waveguide () formed on a substrate () and a plurality of steering mirrors () within the photonic waveguide. The steering mirrors can be configured to direct a light beam () between two or more computing components (). A plurality of steering mirror supports () are located within the waveguide having preset locations. The steering mirror supports are configured to enable the steering mirrors to be selectively repositioned at the preset steering mirror supports within the photonic waveguide to create varying configurations. The steering mirrors in the varying configurations direct one or more optical beams to form multiple connectivity channels between computing components within the photonic waveguide.

A configurable optical communications system () for establishing point-to-point communications between multiple computer servers () coupled to a common midplane or backplane communications bus (), wherein at least two of the servers include an optical input/output device () for sending and receiving an optical signal (). The system further includes an optical communications pathway () that is configured to carry the optical signal, and at least two pivotable mirrors () located within the optical pathway and in-line with the optical input/output devices that are selectively orientated to direct the optical signal between the optical input/output devices to establish the point-to-point communication between the at least two servers.

Configurable point-to-point optical communications system between servers

An angled coupling for optical fibers can comprise a body () having an incoming aperture () and an outgoing aperture (), from which an incoming hollow waveguide () and an outgoing hollow waveguide () extend into the body at an angle (). A reflective surface () is situated at the vertex of the angle and is oriented substantially perpendicular to a bisector of the angle. The coupling also comprises an incoming coupling structure () and an outgoing coupling structure (), each configured to attach an optical fiber to the corresponding aperture.

Angled coupling for optical fibers

A system () and methods () for routing optical signals are disclosed. The system includes a large core hollow waveguide () having a reflective coating () covering an interior surface () of the hollow waveguide configured to guide a light beam (). At least one area based beam splitter () is integrally formed with the hollow waveguide and has an angled reflective surface () with a selectable height (H) relative to the interior surface. The angled reflective surface is oriented to redirect a predetermined amount of the light beam () based on the height of the angled reflective surface.

System and methods for routing optical signals

A cooling apparatus for a printed circuit board assembly is disclosed. The cooling apparatus comprises a main printed circuit (PC) board. The main PC boardhas a plurality of connectorsmounted, in a parallel row, onto the top side of the main PC board. A first liquid cooling manifoldis positioned along one end of the parallel row of connectorsand a second liquid cooling manifoldis positioned along the other end of the parallel row of connectors. A plurality of heat sink devices, each having an elongated shape, run parallel to, and on each side of, the plurality of connectors. The plurality of heat sink devicesare coupled to the first and second liquid cooling manifolds.

Printed circuit board cooling assembly

A cooling apparatus is disclosed. The cooling apparatus comprising a printed circuit (PC) board with an integrated circuit (IC) socket mounted onto the top side of the PC board. A mounting frame generally in the shape of a plate, with a first opening passing through the center of the plate, is mounted on the top side of the PC board with the IC socket located inside the first opening. A cold plate is attached to the mounting frame, the cold plate has an opening that passes through the cold plate. The opening in the cold plate is sized to allow an IC to be inserted into the IC socket through the opening. A fluid passageway is formed inside the cold plate. A fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port are mounted on the cold plate and coupled to a first end and a second end of the fluid passageway, respectively. A heat spreader is removably attached to the top side of the cold plate wherein the bottom side of the heat spreader is configured to contact the top side of an IC when the IC is mounted in the IC socket.
