The invention relates to a snow gliding board () having a sidecut () that widens from the middle area () of the board towards at least one of its ends to a point of maximum width () and of which the structure includes a reinforcing fiber mat () comprising yarns () that extend in the longitudinal direction of the board. It is characterised in that the number of yarns () per unit of length, measured across the board, varies from the middle area () towards the point of maximum width () of the board.

Gliding board

A device for gliding over snow includes a runner equipped with a gliding sole, on which is mounted a plate for receiving the user's two free feet. A projection over the plane of the gliding sole of the rear end of the plate is offset rearward by at least 20 millimeters relative to a projection of the rear end of the runner.

This invention relates to a core for a snowboard, made by the adhesive bonding, side by side, of a plurality of longitudinal bands whose height is that of the core and whose width preferably does not exceed 25 millimeters, each of these bands being made of a material constituted either by wood, by a synthetic foam or by a fiber-reinforced synthetic foam, the overall percentage of each of these three materials in the core thus constituted depending on the type of snowboard that it is desired to produce with the aid of this core.

An assembly for gliding on snow, the assembly comprising a snowboard and a binding system for the boots of the user. The snowboard is provided with a large central depression defining two longitudinal lateral spars placed directly on either side of the depression. Anchor points are formed in said two longitudinal lateral spars. Respective intermediate plates for the front foot and for the back foot are fixed in the anchor points. The intermediate plate is provided in its middle zone overlying the depression with means for anchoring and fixing to the corresponding boot.

Apparatus for use with a gliding board that includes a shoe having an upper and a sole. A binding for mounting the shoe upon the board having an upwardly raised rear piece and attaching pieces securable to similar pieces on the binding. The upper further includes a frame having a stirrup that encircles the upper and securing mechanism for closing the frame about the shoe.

A shoe (1) for the practice of a gliding sport using at least one board, having a capacity for forward flexing and having arrangements intended to interact with a binding, of the type including a flexible boot (2) and a removable flexible inner shoe (4) placed inside the flexible boot (2); a shell (3) placed inside the flexible boot (2), between the boot (2) and the inner shoe (4), and having at least one sole (12) intended to accommodate the sole of the user's foot, and a spoiler (13) intended to fit around the rear of the user's lower leg, up to the height of the bottom of the calf. The sole/spoiler assembly (12, 13) has capacities for inclination of the spoiler (13) toward the front of the sole (12) and a rigidity capable of limiting the rearward inclination of the spoiler (13). The arrangements (34) intended to interact with the binding are fixed on the sole (12) of the shell through the flexible boot (2).
